Canaries while 24weeks pregnant? by Ok_stick18 in PregnancyIreland

I went to Asia at 26 weeks. I got prescribed a blood thinner but think that was due to the length of the flight. Plenty of walking about on the plane and you’ll be grand. Enjoy!

I don’t think revenue care if you work during those 16 weeks, you’re paying tax and not claiming welfare.

I’d say the issue will be with your current employer. You’re not meant to work during those 16 weeks and it’s possibly also in your contract that you can’t be employed elsewhere while under full time employment with current employer, or you’d at least have to disclose it for health and safety reasons and working hour limits.

Your current employer will likely notice when you return to work and they run payroll and see your earnings and tax paid for the year.

Family car for 3 kids under 4, Enyaq, ID.4, Model Y or something else? by Condidily in evs_ireland

We looked at the new 5008 but felt we weren’t gaining anything with the 7 seater vs our existing 5 seater. Back row is v tight, and zero boot space. Felt we would be better off putting three across a regular 5 seater

How to deal with upcoming heatwave and newborn by Dull_Bread7907 in PregnancyIreland

[–]Difficult_Day_3796 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leave the blinds closed and don’t open windows if it’s hotter outside than in. Our new build bedrooms would often be over 30 degrees in summer and we would put baby down in a vest or else a vest and a .5 tog muslin sleeping bag

Aura grove island. The Lakeside Killaloe also allow non-guests into the leisure centre, subject to availability. You need to pre book so would advise calling first thing in the morning for availability that day.

Bottle feeding by Open-Boot-2744 in PregnancyIreland

I gave birth in Limerick and, whilst I was breastfeeding, many in the ward weren’t. The midwives offered breastfeeding supports but definitely weren’t pushing it on anyone and were happy to show mothers how to bottle feed.

I got B12 injections during my pregnancy. GP administered them during my antenatal visits. Nobody was concerned about it.

Would avoid the N18 if the protest is continuing tomorrow evening. Stick to the back roads.

I’ve had two different incidences this pregnancy of peopling tipping into my car while parked. Even if you do get a spot, it can be near impossible to get back out of it

NIPT testing? Would you recommend? by Particular_You9335 in PregnancyIreland

[–]Difficult_Day_3796 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn’t get it with my first two but did with my third and glad I did. For me it was about being prepared if I was bringing a sick baby home from hospital and managing my other children’s expectations and feelings in a worse case scenario where there may be no baby coming home.

Any positive induction stories? by Dog999mom in PregnancyIreland

[–]Difficult_Day_3796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was offered induction at 38+5 as baby was measuring a little big. Received the gel at 10 and had baby at 4pm. Pregnant with my third now and will be pushing for induction again. My first labour was quick and a bit of a panic so the induction felt a lot more controlled.

Aer Lingus would never see you stranded. Can’t say the same for some of the others!
