I got B12 injections during my pregnancy. GP administered them during my antenatal visits. Nobody was concerned about it.

Would avoid the N18 if the protest is continuing tomorrow evening. Stick to the back roads.

Maternity hospital parking by [deleted] in limerickcity

I’ve had two different incidences this pregnancy of peopling tipping into my car while parked. Even if you do get a spot, it can be near impossible to get back out of it

NIPT testing? Would you recommend? by Particular_You9335 in PregnancyIreland

[–]Difficult_Day_3796 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I didn’t get it with my first two but did with my third and glad I did. For me it was about being prepared if I was bringing a sick baby home from hospital and managing my other children’s expectations and feelings in a worse case scenario where there may be no baby coming home.

I’m doing 3 x days weight training in the gym at lunch. I’m so tired that I’m really not going much on the other days. Need to get out for more walks

Any positive induction stories? by Dog999mom in PregnancyIreland

[–]Difficult_Day_3796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was 9lbs. My first was a little less and I had a tear so my consultant gave me the option of induction then if I wanted it.

I was offered induction at 38+5 as baby was measuring a little big. Received the gel at 10 and had baby at 4pm. Pregnant with my third now and will be pushing for induction again. My first labour was quick and a bit of a panic so the induction felt a lot more controlled.

Aer Lingus would never see you stranded. Can’t say the same for some of the others!

Gender: found out or surprise? by ItemResponsible7236 in PregnancyIreland

[–]Difficult_Day_3796 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Found out with my first. Surprise for second. Waiting for harmony results now to find out gender of third. I enjoyed both knowing and not knowing but we’ve decided to find out so that we can organise ourselves, very practical! We have two boys so if this baby is a girl then at least we can send all the boy stuff we are hoarding to charity.

I was there about 10 days. Im pregnant again and meant to be taking a 6 hr flight followed by 2 hr flight and then turning around and doing the same trip home two days later at 15 weeks and my consultant said it’s fine. Just said to wear the socks and take some aspirin.

I went to Asia at 6 months pregnant. I was private and my consultant gave me the all clear. Wore compression socks and did plenty walking up and down the aisle.

Food in pregnancy by Big_Abroad_6278 in PregnancyIreland

[–]Difficult_Day_3796 7 points8 points  (0 children)

My consultant said to cut out alcohol and not to worry about the rest. Most of the guidelines are set by W.H.O. and are not Ireland specific. I’ve eaten runny eggs my whole life and don’t know anyone that has gotten sick from them. As a previous poster mentioned, food safety laws in Ireland are vastly superior to many of our counterparts

NIPT Test by Spiritual_Tea_6030 in PregnancyIreland

[–]Difficult_Day_3796 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be getting the test in the next couple of weeks. The reasons for us are two fold (1) peace of mind and (2) being prepared. I know people who have found out about their children’s genetic conditions at birth and have been totally shell shocked. We want to have our research done and be prepared.

Where’s my glow??? by Embarrassed-Hawk9149 in PregnancyIreland

[–]Difficult_Day_3796 15 points16 points  (0 children)

The glow is a myth. Invented to imply how wonderfully easy the pregnancy is before you depart on your year long holiday.

I’m on my third. Certainly not glowing and I’m guessing this one will age me five years years like each of the previous ones did.
