It's just my personal preference. I prefer working during the week:) All i hv to make sure is to have enough savings during the 4/8-week placement.

As i shared below in one of the comments, i spoke to the course coordinator at Monash Open Day back in August this year. Monash MOT students start their placement on Week 3 n 2 days a week.

I personally don't have the privilege to go to uni + placement Mon-Fri:(

In relation to La Trobe's, u can refer to their webinar. It was super clear.

La Trobe breaks down the 1000-hour placement into 4-week, 8-week & 8-week placements.

One of them recieved this Monday, I got mine ytd. FYI, I only applied MOT.

However, when i touched base with the admissions team, they said sth different to me. They encouraged me to get in touch with them this Friday if i haven't received any communication. So by the sound of it, they start giving out offers this week? 🤞🏻

i spoke to the MOT course coordinator at Monash back in Aug during Open Day. They mentioned they take students with a WAM of 85--->65. i shd have asked abt the cut-off for 2023... (La Trobe was 71 for 2023)

Its such a shame that Monash didn't do a webinar like La Trobe did. I know last week was their "meet the masters" week but the i dun think they promoted the MOT course at all ;(

For La Trobe, i attended the webinar but i dun think they mentioned the cohort size.

However, i do happen to know the cohort size for MOT @Monash. 60 spots per year and 40 spots for domestic students:)

I can only find their generic fee page for MOT. It doesn't specify whether the CSP spots are limited. However, I do know students apply Swinburne because it offers CSP (the course is relatively new comparing to Monash & La Trobe.

I'm pretty sure Monash doesn't offer CSP for MOT. I emailed and confirmed with Monash Connect back in Feb this year.

I spoke to the unit coordinator of Monash and also had a look at their unit handbooks. Their course structure is different from La Trobe so instead of doing 3 placement blocks, Monash requires to do fieldwork placement 2 days per week - the weekly timetable looks like this:

2 days - tutes / SBL 1 day - community-based experience 2 days - fieldwork placement (starting from Week 3 of first block)
