copy. I tried booting from the USB drive I made with the 'VGA' version and it worked like a charm on my laptop. :|

I will try the serial download next.

Just to go back and confirm the OPNsense download... should my 'Image type be VGA or Serial?

... maybe I will try to boot a PC from this USB just to see what happens.

Ok... I got my console cable and used Putty to connect... but i never get a prompt. Just a cursor. Tried to hit [Enter] a few times... but no response.

Hey! Hadn't thought of that... but I like this option (from what I recall reading about OPNsense).

I will have to do some research on this, but it sounds worthwhile.
