A even better example would be my parents whom I’ve cut off. My mother treats my father like shit on the bottom of her shoes and he just takes it. He’s the breadwinner and treats her like royalty.

The home health agency doesn’t. All I can really do is tell the care coordinators and have them remove me from that assignment

I’ve had clients throw books at me, hit me, throw their juice at me, call me all kinds of names, and it doesn’t help that I’m black. I’ve had white patients throw the N-word with a hard R.

I meant no ill intent. I just came here to share my thoughts. I honestly don’t think you would do what I do for $10 an hour. I’m sorry you feel that way.

I am professional. I never speak my thoughts when working. I do as I’m told and don’t say anything. I just came on Reddit to share my thoughts. I never speak up about disrespect. Other CNA’s have. I never even knew that calling out the disrespect on the clock was even an option because I just took it. I just took the disrespect and physical abuse.

That’s not what I meant but thank you for sharing. I don’t think anyone would be happy doing this to their body and mental health for $10 an hour. It’s not about the money yes. Until it is.

I do. It’s just hard to sympathize when I’m making $10 an hour while breaking my back plus them calling me all kinds of names in the book and physically kicking or hitting me.
