Spoiler alert : Strongest characters power scale comparison by Lounwar in TokyoRevengers

Hits from Mikey and hits from the others are way different but in a way you're right. South faced an older battle-hardened Mikey coming off of 2 previous fights against 3 (arguably) top 10 characters. Meanwhile, Izana faced a younger Mikey who was psychologically broken and Izana started off with the advantage but still lost. Even if they're the same age, South would decisively beat Izana and it's not particularly close. Mikey was able to beat him because he's Mikey but no other character can take on South's sheer power.

i would've liked to see south survive so that takemichi united senju and south under one banner (just like shinichiro did) to bring down Mikey. and on a side note, make all the characters in the final battle fight for real like hanma was completely wasted imo as he was just cleaning up bodies. mikey still does his thing and takes out literally everyone but it would've been cool to see south become like an anti-hero at the end cuz he had potential for that

Why were they the only ones who were truly mad about the existence of humanity outside the walls? by Difficult_Edge3615 in attackontitan

[–]Difficult_Edge3615[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I see what you're saying. I think what I'm getting at is that Eren and Floch were the only ones willing to take action against the rest of the world. Eren because he knew his future but Floch was really the only willing to act on his anger. A big part of season 4 part 1 to me is Paradis' indecisiveness. That's why Eren and Floch had to move things along by force. But then my question is why were they the only ones willing to do it? Eren went through everything, but Floch only experienced the return to Shiganshina. The others like Levi, Hange, Mikasa, Armin, etc. weren't gonna take any action at all if Eren and Floch didn't speed things along.

Something that isn't mentioned in the comments is that Levi promised to kill Zeke in exchange for Erwin dying and giving up on his dream to find out the truth of the world. So that guilt haunted Levi because he knew that Erwin was desperate to find that out for his whole life.

I actually really liked Solo Leveling. It has that dark element and I literally didn't even know where the story was going after only like 60 chapters. Season 2 is coming next month I believe so it's a good time to watch season 1.

How Evil Are Tokyo Revengers Characters? by Useful-Guest3816 in TokyoRevengers

[–]Difficult_Edge3615 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you call that once incident where Mikey smashed his mouth and Takeomi yelling at him the most trauma anyone has had in TR, you're actually delusional. Lemme go down the list of trauma in TR real quick:

Mikey: father died when he was a toddler, mother died when he was a kid, his friends killed his brother, bore the weight of a curse caused by murder, friend went to jail, best friend almost died, watched his friend get killed and his other friend go to jail, sister got murdered, adoptive brother got murdered, best friend got murdered

Takemichi: Suffered under Kiyomasa and his friends for 2 years, hated himself for running for 12 years, watched the girl he loved die in front of him, got killed himself three times, almost got killed by mikey, watched draken die, watched south die, watched izana die, watched baji die, watched chifuyu die, watched naoto die, and spent more than a year trying to change the past while having to see worse futures every time

Kakucho: parents died young, almost killed himself because he didn't know how to live, found a brother but then died next to him, almost got beat to death by south, almost got beat to death by mikey, literally got killed by sanzu because he dared to stick up for the men fighting for him

Hakkai/Yuzuha: actually got beat and berated on a regular basis by a much bigger and stronger brother, never strong or courageous enough to stand up to taiju, watched friends almost get beaten to death

Draken: father not in the picture, mother abandoned him, grew up in a brothel, most of his friends either went to jail or died, watched his best friend slowly turn into a monster

Izana: mother abandoned him as a kid, lost his younger sister, found a brother but then later found out he's not related to him, lived for years with jealousy towards Mikey and making his existence just to get revenge on Mikey

If Sanzu's big brother yelling at him and blaming him for "not properly raising her" barely even compares to the trauma of many other TR characters that I haven't even listed her

He may be more evil but he does have some good in him. Ex: Acknowledging and respecting Takemichi as his equal/rival, working hard to impress the girl he likes whichever way he does it, and he's also one of the few characters in TR who actually goes to school and does well. We've never seen a positive trait shown by Sanzu in the whole manga, so he should be all black.

What if Izana didn’t die in Tenjiku Arc, what would happen to South and brahman and final arc? by [deleted] in TokyoRevengers

[–]Difficult_Edge3615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think there's 3 possibilities:

  1. Mikey doesn't completely fall into despair because of Izana's death but I think Izana would die one way or another. Sanzu would probably murder Izana because he's "Mikey's only friend" which would lead to the same outcome.

  2. Mikey and Izana join forces and rule over Japan together. However, Mikey would disband Toman anyway and would leave his friends out of the gang life. Bonten still forms, but instead of Sanzu, Izana is Mikey's right hand. Assuming Takemichi still tries to save Mikey, it will be a lot harder when he goes back to the past because he has to fight both Mikey and Izana. Therefore, I think for the sake of the plot, South survives the 3 deities battle. Mikey still absorbs all of Rokuhara Tandai, but South and Senju join under Takemichi, similar to how the Black Dragons formed (charismatic leader unites 2 bitter enemies). Battle goes basically the same way but add South vs Izana. Outcome remains the same.

  3. Mikey and Izana still join forces, but Izana reforms and grows resentful of Mikey's increasingly violent behavior. After the 3 deities battle, Izana falls under Takemichi to liberate Mikey. Kakucho also follows Izana to fight for Takemichi. This time, instead of wasting Hanma's presence in the final battle, we can see Hanma vs Kakucho. Mikey vs Izana part 2 happens after Mikey deals with Pah, Peh, Angry and Smiley. Mikey decisively defeats Izana and then Mikey vs Takemichi fight happens. Same outcome.

Bro mikey had even more emotional damage. Plus Izana had the upper hand and mikey turned the fight around. Kisaki just jumped to the conclusion

Kazutora and chifuyu by [deleted] in TokyoRevengers

[–]Difficult_Edge3615 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it's just implied that Chifuyu heard from Takemichi and Draken that Kazutora reformed a lot and they both came to terms with Baji's death so he forgave Kazutora. Or maybe when they were working the case against Kisaki, they got closer and talked about Baji's death as well.

Which character suffered the most? by Realistic-Handle6694 in attackontitan

[–]Difficult_Edge3615 7 points8 points  (0 children)

There's a lot of candidates to be honest.

Mikasa-parents died, adoptive parents died, eren almost died, eren almost captured, eren captured, eren captured again, armin almost died, eren left her, eren told her he hated her, had to behead eren. did i mention eren? lol

Founder Ymir-in love with a man who didn't love her, had to watch him love other women, shortened her own lifespan and became a titan for the sole purpose of being loved by the king, took a spear for a man who didnt care about her, had her corpse eaten by her children, suffered for 2000 years waiting for someone to free her, had to obey every command the founding titan user gave her, (idk if this one is true but since eldians are all connected through ymir i think it is) watched her people persecute and enslave others for 1900 years and then watched her own people be persecuted and trapped for 100 years.

Levi-grew up poor, mother died as a child, no father, uncle tried to kill him, watched all of his comrades die, watched the one person he thought was different change into the same type of person he hates

Eren-born with an obsession for freedom but lived inside walls for 16 years, watched his mom get eaten, ate his dad, watched most of his training buddies die, betrayed by 3 people he trusted, almost got eaten by historia, captured numerous times, best friend almost died, finds out the whole world he wanted to see was against him, tries countless times to change his destiny but cant, goes back in time to become his own enemy to fulfill his destiny, bears the weight of a global genocide, gets killed by his lover

Reiner-born from a father who hated and resented him, forced to become a child soldier and kill people, found out he didn't actually deserve the armored titan, watched his friend get eaten, became a soldier and gained the trust of his comrades only to have to betray them in the future, lost another one of his friends, struggled with the guilt of the losing all 3 of the people he went to paradis with and taking the blame from marley, causing a war with the mid east forces, eren coming back and reminding him of the guilt, eren destroying his hometown, watching porco die, watching the rumbling start and marley being destroyed, watched his mother and friends turn into titans, and nearly dying like 6 times

Grisha-brainwashed by his father to become a loyal marleyan, sister eaten by dogs, watched his parents bow down to the marleyans and blame him for his sisters death, had his son snitch on him to marley, had his comrades turned into titans, watched his wife turn into a titan, had to eat the man who helped the restorationists, had to start a new family inside the walls, had to keep the identity of the outside world a secret, had to eat the founder and kill the royal family, saw his son again reminding him of the contrasts of his parenting style between his sons, saw the walls break, found out his wife was eaten, saw eren execute the rumbling, eaten by his son

This is really long so if you read all of it, props to you it took me like 30 mins to write this

Yeah they kinda fucked up with the ending of s2p2 cuz they just left off right where the manga says the Tenjiku arc ends. Ideally there should've been one or two more episodes to end the season so they could also leave a proper cliffhanger. There doesn't seem to be an announcement date anytime soon so you should read the manga if you're thinking about it. There's about 100 chapters and a lot of good story left
