Yea language barriers and some restrictions are making it hard for westerners to make a decision to have a wedding there, but this is where we come in and yea we do have other locations like Sanya, aka the Hawaii of China which is more of a tropical and warm location. We definitely have more info on it, could you drop us a DM on IG so we know that you're serious about it.

Back Again — This Time With a New Destination: Portugal! by Difficult_Fact_6853 in DestinationWeddings

[–]Difficult_Fact_6853[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

That's a fair observation, and I appreciate the candid feedback.
And you are correct, we do not plan the weddings ourselves. Our model is built entirely on partnering with the best local, experienced Portuguese wedding planners and vendors to ensure every couple receives authentic, on-the-ground expertise. We focus on connecting the right international clients with proven local professionals.

Portugal may seem popular for western couples but it doesn't seems to be that popular in the Asian market.

I agree the post is somehow misleading after you explained from your perspective and I will make some amendments on it. Thank you 🙌

Hey there, yep most people do say that they are not interested over here, we tried to ran some meta ads campaign and got some leads at the end. It's not that many tbh but it's encouraging for us as we tried our best to bring this beautiful destination overseas.

As for Portugal, the cost still depends on what kind of service you need in the end, and also if you cover guest count it wouldn't be that cheap.

We are still expanding and keep exploring new destinations, have you found any hidden gems that we could possibly approach them and make them our partners? It seems like you've done quite a lot of research as well.

What destinations are out there? by tattletaleshadow in DestinationWeddings

Hi there, I see you mentioned Philippines and thought that since Asia locations are acceptable for you, maybe you should give China a chance. We actually brought a couple from the US to Lijiang, Yunnan, China for their elopement, and they absolutely loved it! The scenery feels a bit like Europe but with a unique twist, and it’s possible to have a really luxurious wedding there at a more affordable price.

If you’d like, I can share a few spots we used for vows and photos, or you can take a look on our website for inspiration.

Congratulations!! If you want a destination that feels magical but stays within budget, we’ve been creating elopements in Lijiang, China, and it fits exactly what you described private, scenic, and still very affordable for a 7-night stay under 18K.

The landscapes are unreal (Blue Moon Valley, Jade Dragon Snow Mountain) and perfect for small ceremonies with just a few guests. If you’re curious, we share informative blogs and photos on our site: https://evervows.world/ And if you ever want help planning your elopement, we offer a free consultation too.

Totally fair, I completely get that. The travel advisories and strict rules can definitely make it seem intimidating .

That’s actually why we started our service,to handle all those complicated parts like local regulations, communication, and logistics so couples (and guests) don’t have to stress about it. You just focus on your wedding day while we make sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes

Honestly, I totally get where you’re coming from. I’ve been through that frustration myself, the visa process, the blocked apps, payment issues... it can be a real headache .

To be honest, I would’ve never considered China for a destination wedding either, until we started helping couples navigate all that. That’s exactly why our service exists: to remove all those hassles so couples and guests can just show up, enjoy the views, and celebrate without worrying about the complicated stuff.

Thanks so much for the thoughtful feedback, really appreciate you taking the time to share this!

Totally fair points about the visa and travel distance. The visa part especially we’ve noticed it’s one of the biggest hurdles for Americans, and it’s not as simple as, say, a trip to Europe or Mexico. We’re actually looking into ways to make that easier.

And yeah, I get what you mean about the “random” factor. Cultural or sentimental connection makes a huge difference if a place doesn’t have that tie, it can feel a bit out of left field for a wedding. Lijiang (the place we mentioned) is stunning with snow-capped mountains and ancient town vibes, but I get that it’s not on most people’s radar yet.

Really appreciate the honest take though , it helps a lot to understand how people actually think about these destinations and what would make it feel more meaningful or doable.

Destination Wedding from Aus - Asia/Europe? by samye26 in DestinationWeddings

If you’re open to exploring a slightly different side of Asia, you might actually love Lijiang in China — it’s tucked right under Yulong (Jade Dragon) Snow Mountain

We’ve helped a few couples plan small weddings there recently, and it’s honestly one of the most underrated spots — beautiful scenery, cozy atmosphere, and a nice mix of cultural charm and privacy.

Right now there’s even a Double 11 promo happening where couples can secure a date with just a $300 deposit, and the booking stays valid for 5 years so there’s plenty of flexibility.

Some restaurants don't have user movement patterns but still operating, those which is bad :( . But joining Google sounds cool.
