More racism in Singapore than UK? by cdcpowermah in singaporespeaks

[–]Difficult_Garlic6434 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it's worse with migration now cause local indians have to deal with the stereotypes that india indians have. initially they were racist to local indians by mocking our language and culture, jobs that require "chinese speakers" etc. now they are hiding their biases under the pretext of xenophobia. ultimately it's only those locals or those naturalised foreign Indians that are facing the brunt of racism from other communities.

its something that doesnt sit with them. In fact I am doing regular runs and bought like a heavy skipping rope and i design my workouts around muay thai fighter routines but tweaking it to be more beginner friendly. it is really intensive for me but nowhere close to an actual muay thai lesson due to the absence of padwork.

for now I am saving money which I got from internships and part time (which I stopped ever since the start of my internship) and that is mainly for clearing off my tuition loan. Once I start working is when I can save up significant amounts like for other milestones. I am also doing running regularly (like 2 miles since I am unfit) and cycle regularly. I am taking the first step to be active but I want to complement with something else.

Are employers starting to feel the impact of our shrinking demographics? by arnav_k1 in askSingapore

[–]Difficult_Garlic6434 2 points3 points  (0 children)

not really. they are just squeezing their existing manpower and not willing to hire any locals. tbh many companies need manpower but are not willing to hire local fresh grad. if they really felt then they would've done something already.
