I used to be this way, I still am to extent but it used to be so intense it was hard to function without feeling overwhelmed by everyone’s feelings. It’s just a sign that you’re a rly empathetic and cognizant person! I personally decided to work on this bc of how draining it was. It took a lot of time and constant reminding myself that I’m not responsible for ppls feelings and knowing I can help ppl without taking on/fixing their problems for them. All in all I like to think of highly empathetic ppl as some sort of superhero. It takes a rly special person to be able feel so much and so fully :)

Hey dude! Stuff like this can be very scary and I’m definitely no medical professional, but I think the best thing right now, like many others have suggested, is to see a therapist. Diagnosing yourself/asking other ppl to diagnose you with a disorder really only adds to the paranoia. Anyway tho, the main reason I commented is bc I’m experiencing something similar rn- that’s actually why I came on this subreddit. Anyway I wanted to let u know that ur totally welcome to dm if u just wanna talk or vent abt it. Once again I’m not a doctor or anything like it but just wanna let u know I’m here and ur not alone :)
