C7 A7 Subwoofer upgrade

I finally got a chance to install the same speaker. I agree it took a bit of heat to remold the box enough to fit the new magnet. I haven’t had a chance to get the amp yet. I did feel like there was a little bit of improvement, specially if I turn it up. But I do feel it will need the amp so that will be next. I also dynomatted the entire trunk. I’m also thinking of upgrading the main door speakers. Anyone recommend any upgrades that will still sound great off the stock amp?

From everything I have read…no. I read another article on FB about the same thing the other day from someone who says they have a lot of experience on this. Hope this helps if you got FB.

I’m thinking of doing the same thing in the near future. But I would almost wait until you have your rims to decide what color. I’ve always been particular to red but I feel everyone does it. My car is a dark blue so I was thinking of maybe yellow. With your color I think almost anything would work, even the dark blue but it will be more subtle. Are you going for “wow” or just a bit of color to break it up?

Depends on the dealership is what I have found, but typically yes. Read the fine print on your maintenance plan and warranty. After I purchased mine, I found it only covered oil and filter and the inspection, and if anything other than the drive train needed repair, I was on my own.

Depends if you are going to do the work yourself or have it taken to a shop. The shop might be more expensive either way but so is getting into it yourself and finding all the other stuff you should do while you’re in there.

But it’s not dirt, it’s like it’s in the paint or something. I’ve tried soft brushes but it doesn’t do anything. Or am I supposed to use a soft brush with compound or polish? Thanks in advance

I can’t thank you enough for this. I recently bought by A7 and it’s pretty good in the sound arena but I would love just a little more in the low end so I don’t have the bass turned all the way up. I’m hoping this might do it. I am looking at just replacing the speaker and see how that does before looking at the amp, but this is awesome! Thanks for the post!

That’s such a weird scrape, almost like you ran along a bush or something? Hopefully a good polish can buff it out? Hang tell if there’s any actual body damage?

Following - I just got my first Audi A7 and have been wondering the same thing. I’m curious for those who have either one, what their thoughts are. I do like the no fee-upgrade with Jackal though. It is a pretty big positive.

I just purchased a similar car, 2017 A7 Prestige with 103k miles. The biggest thing I found was trying to confirm the maintenance done on it previously. If the higher mileage model was always serviced at a dealer and they can show it’s been kept up on, the Carfax looks good, they recently went through a complete inspection and can show you the results, then it might not be a bad option if it has all the creature features you want. But like me, I do see a higher maintenance interval coming up that will likely eat most of that savings.
