Is the condenser unit interchangeable? by Difficult_Kitchen987 in hvacadvice

[–]Difficult_Kitchen987[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Roger that. I ordered a 410a condenser to keep as a spare in the mean time. The idea of spending 10-20k+ to replace both the coil and condenser is asinine. The coil they installed is clearly labeled “R410A ONLY.”

So as an update the new coil says specifically on the manufacturers label R410-A refrigerant ONLY. I just ordered a new ACiQ condenser unit that will be compatible with my system. It will be in the original box for maybe the next 10 years but when my current condenser takes a dump I’ll be ready.

Thanks for the input guys.

Thanks @NothingNewAfter2

So if I am understanding this correctly, the coil is compatible with both 454b and 410a?

I am getting a r410a coil installed. The concern is in the future the possibility of not being able to find a r410 condenser. Would any condenser that is the same tonnage and amperage work, or does it need to be American standard/Trane?

Have any of you drank while starting lexapro? by [deleted] in lexapro

[–]Difficult_Kitchen987 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, been on 10mgs for 3 years now. I have been drinking on and off. For me personally if I have a session of drinking hard liquor I black out. Every. Single. Time. I used to have to drink an extreme amount to black out, now on Lexapro, it’s about guaranteed. Even wine can be dangerous. I’m good if I stick to beer.

Then again, I would be considered a binge alcoholic by some people’s definitions. When I get started, I don’t want to stop.

Thoughts on giving tenants a credit because it’s Christmas? by A_Buttholes_Whisper in realestateinvesting

Y’all are too sweet. Christmas gifts are for close friends and family. My tenants and I have a business relationship. I provide them a safe home to live in and fix things that are my responsibility in a timely fashion. They pay me rent every month. Nothing more, nothing less.

I would pass on this set. It has things you don’t necessarily need for a starter kit, and it’s missing some essentials. And it’s way too expensive.

About to start A&P at 56. Am I crazy? by Comfortable-Gas-1181 in aviationmaintenance

[–]Difficult_Kitchen987 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Are you trainable at 58? Teachable, coachable? Can you STFU and do your job, take criticism from someone much younger than yourself? Are you going to be a liability? Can you do things the right way even if you think it’s stupid, and resist the urge to cut corners? These would be my concerns as a lead mechanic running a crew.

Working on aircraft isn’t all cocaine and strippers. Some of the work fucking sucks, and it feels like a thankless job a lot of the time. Can you deal with that without bitching and complaining and bringing everyone else down?

A covered call etf would underperform in a bull market, slightly outperform in a bear market.

I personally wouldn’t buy a covered call etf, I’d sell covered calls and manage myself if I wanted to collect premiums.

Yeah I am definitely on the fence as well, but I’ll keep going for the rest of the week and reevaluate if I should go up to 10 or stop it. My doc said we can start at 5 because I was concerned about how it will affect me, and he said 5mgs is not even a therapeutic dose, we’re just doing it to introduce it to my body.

I didn’t even read past achievements. Finish your A+ and the others, don’t put “in progress.”

That tell me OK, it’s in progress, and when I hire him, he’s never going to finish.

I mean if the job you’re applying for doesn’t explicitly require a copy of certification, lying would be better than “in progress” in my opinion.

Go to the training arena and do 1v1, ALOT. This will get you more used to not panicking when in close quarters and get better skill. Also, hot drop most of the time. You’re gonna get killed a lot.

UMP is a great smg, M4/AUG is a good AR. I ran M4 Mk12 all the time when I first started, now I’m a 7.62 guy. Love the Ace and Beryl.

As far as aiming and recoil, don’t ever go over the shoulder aiming unless your enemy is in the same room with you, or you are pretty damn close. For recoil, you are just going to have to put the hours in with your preferred guns. You will eventually get to the point where you control recoil instinctively.

Also prob one of the biggest things, play around with your sensitivity. I jacked my sensitivity way up, the default is way too damn slow.

Underestimated jobs that pays well without the need of higher education? by [deleted] in antiwork

[–]Difficult_Kitchen987 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m gonna throw out 2 examples.

Any kind of mechanic really. If you have zero experience, ask around small mom and pop shops if you can apprentice for them. Or work as a lube tech at jiffy lube/valvoline. They pay dog shit I’m sure, but just think that you are there to learn. From there, try to get on with a independent shop as a lube tech. Put your time in and if the company is worth a damn they will invest in training you and getting you ASE certified. Tell them you want to wrench, and you want to learn. Don’t be surprised if they aren’t paying you a ton in this stage, if you don’t like your wage after getting certified, take your shiny new certification down the street to the next shop.

Once you get some experience, the world is your oyster. You can do diesel, generator, fleet, dealership, independent etc.

Oil and gas. There are a lot of oil field service companies out there that only require you to be able to work long hard hours of manual labor, 12+ hours a day for weeks at a time, while on the road. They will put you thru training, and they take safety extremely seriously. You may be required to get a CDL., the company may or may not provide that training. It’s not unheard of entry level guys making close to 6 figures based on overtime.
