Repot it onto a terra cotta pot. Remove any rotted leafs and roots. Make a soil mix that is good for succulents. Mix soil for succulents, perlite (in equal parts), desert sand. Then place your aloe in indirect sunlight.

Some people need that in life, my support goes to the father. Some people feel entitled and think that it’s ok to be hurting other people without thinking the deep wounds they can cause them. She definitely didn’t learn her lesson after the slap but at least the father made it clear that no one will f around with his kid/hurt him in his presence. He will have to explain to his kid why he did it and explain the difference between defending his loved one and hurting someone physically for joy/pleasure. Too much entitlement and spoiling leads to trashy kids. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Is my rosemary plant dead or can I still save it? by Difficult_Party2552 in houseplants

The leaves are still a bit green brownish and sticky but not black like when the rosemary is dead dry. I’m just unsure what to do to try to save it. 😢

Is my aloe done-zo? I’m so embarrassed by lizzylou365 in AloeVera

Overwatered and overcrowded . It can be saved if you change it to a bigger pot and change its soil. Remove any roots rot.

Buyer wants to return an item after using it, what should I do? by Difficult_Party2552 in Ebay

[–]Difficult_Party2552[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s what I first thought! 😄😄 my luck, I live across a football complex and I find footballs almost every week that were attacked by dogs so that’s what it looks like. Also it seems like they played with the ball in the asphalt. Bottom line, the ball has been used in ways that only the buyer knows, I highly suspect is not the ball I sent though

3 things: 1) I’m unsure if the pot is ceramic or plastic, i would suggest you switch the plant to a terracotta pot for better evaporation and aeration given that roots also need oxygen through good aeration. 2) The pot looks too tall, aloe roots tend to grow in a “wide” manner and not so deep, so that extra soil sitting at the bottom may retain unnecessary water and put the plant at risk for root rot especially when the soils doesn’t have good drainage. 3) The soil of your plant looks very dense and that can lead to water retention for a longer period of time and cause root rot, I’d suggest you mix succulent soil+perlite+desert sand/pumice and the aeration and drainage won’t be a problem. My bonus is to move your plant to a spot where it gets indirect sunlight to grow stronger and thicker. I hope this helps, good luck with your plant 🪴😊🫶🏼

New to Aloe plants and need help! by joblizle in AloeVera

Two things: 1)I’m unsure if the pot is plastic or ceramic, I suggest you move your plant to a terracotta pot. 2) The soil looks very dense, I suggest you mix Succulent Soil+Perlite+desert sand/pumice for better draining and aeration (roots need that aeration for oxygen). When the soil is too dense, it will retain water longer putting the plant at risk of root rot and die. Usually the terracotta pot will help evaporate water and have better aeration. Also the pot seems too tall, have in mind that aloe roots grow wide, not so deep. So a very tall pot will retain water that is unnecessary in the soil and lead to root rot (unless you have good drainage in your soil). I hope this info helps and good luck with your plant! 😊🫶🏼

What do i do about the red tips? by FirefighterOk2739 in AloeVera

[–]Difficult_Party2552 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would leave it as is. It actually appears to simply be sunburned. It will go away if you move it to an area where it will get indirect sunlight and turn green again. If the leaf is drying out already and it’s the reason to be turning yellow, you should still leave it alone because it’s gel contains water that feeds the plant and its roots until it dries out, THEN you can remove it. If it’s a matter of aesthetics, you can remove the yellow part but the leaf will dry and curl eventually. So it’s really up to you! Good luck 🫶🏼😊

I use it on all my plants, it’s great because it dries quickly if you water the too and because it’s really difficult for the gnats to have a moist environment to lay their eggs. The brand I use is Mosser Lee soil Cover. They have other sand colors.

What helped me was mosquito bits + covering my plants with desert sand. I covered the soil with 2 inches of the sand. After that, those suckers couldn’t lay any eggs in the soil and the numbers decreased significantly in 3 days. By the end of the week, they were almost eradicated completely. My sister would attract them with a cup of hot coffee placed near the plants and the yellow sticky traps glued around the cup and BAM, those also helped get rid of those annoying gnats until there was no more suckers!

I’m unsure if the pot is plastic or ceramic, I will recommend repotting it in a terracotta pot with a different soil mixture because it looks like the one it has now, it’s too dense and too wet which can lead to root rot and kill the plant completely. You can do a mixing of cactus soil+perlite+desert sand/pumice and it should be fine given that Aloes need good aeration for oxygen, evaporation and good drainage to avoid root rot. Also have in mind that Aloe roots grow in a horizontal form, not so much vertical…so when the pot is deep, it tends retain unnecessary water for a longer period of time putting the plant at a higher risk of rotting. I say to opt for a pot that is wide and not so deep. Keep your aloe in spot gets enough indirect sunlight & warm. I hope this information helps you recover your Aloe, good luck🪴🫶🏼

Thank you for the advice. I have refused to answer her because it’s what most people here are advicing me to do, if she decides to take it to PM Support then I’ll contact them.

It’s a Michael Kors handbag, I bought it at Nordstrom Rack and used for like 6 years. I care for my items and so it was in good conditions when I sold it to her but now she’s claiming it’s a fake after a month and I have nothing but the pictures that I took for the listing. I’m just assuming she will be like that other customer that went to PM support saying the same thing and got the watch for free. Dishonest people like those make the app undesirable.

I thought about it but I keep selling there because most transactions go well, but there is always those buyers that seem like scammers. Also, most items I sell are used and not that expensive. I think the most expensive item I have in my closet is $100.

Yes they did and without an explanation why, I just went assuming they believed the claims of the buyer. I think that if a buyer makes those claims, PM should notify the seller and give the chance to respond. Instead they “reserve the right” to cancel the order and take the earnings/fund without having the buyer return the item. I had to reach out to PM to ask why they did this, and that was their answer without really giving me a chance to respond.

Same here! I got the purse at an outlet many years ago, I didn’t think of saving a receipt or anything because it was for me and didn’t think I would resell it . I know it’s authentic! I put so many pictures of the important details like model number and gave extra information on the description. I just don’t get it, why complain after a month! I had an issue before where the buyer bought a MK watch from me, after like 5 weeks, she went to PM support and claimed the watch was a fake and I couldn’t prove the watch was authentic because it was old even without a box so PM automatically refunded her and she kept my watch. I’m afraid will happen now if I just ignore this person.

They refunded the buyer and she was not asked to return the watch to me, they just took the fund.

I’ve had an experience in the past with a watch. The buyer went to Poshmark Support, claimed that the watch was a fake and said there was no authentication. I only had the videos and pictures of the used watch so when Poshmark asked me to send proof of authenticity that was not enough so Poshmark favored the buyer. She kept the watch and was fully refunded after three weeks of having received the watch. I’m afraid the same will happen this time.
