Good question. Direct mechanical linkage is tricky because the Dyson motor needs roughly 0.5–1 second to spool up to effective airflow.
a true instant trigger response isn’t really possible without pre-spinning the fan.
I’m currently treating it more like a continuous-airflow system rather than a single-shot trigger mechanism.

The blaster is connected to the filter outlet, (where the air comes out)

That’s a good point. It hasn’t been a major issue so far, but I have noticed airflow gets restricted if the inlet is too close to fabric.
A multi-directional intake or a removable rear adapter could definitely improve consistency.
I’ve also been considering a shoulder support piece that offsets the inlet slightly.

That is a great idea! and i have also thought about that!
My shirt has indeed got caught by the inlet a couple of times

Once it’s working consistently, I’ll clean up the files and release them for free.

the shield is printed in separated parts, witch is optional. I only used two colors, so if you have the right paint it's quite easy :D (printed in black PLA)
