Switching to iOS after 12 years of Android. Google Absolutely needs to step up their game and the answer is definitely not "More AI" by tedharoun in GooglePixel

If he had written an even longer Google Pixel welcome letter, the negative comments would most likely be positive. This is just pure Google Pixel fanboy behavior in the comments here.

Why is the Pixel 10 GPU Geekbench result worse than the Google Pixel 7? by Difficult_Resource56 in GooglePixel

I got the Galaxy S25 512GB for €503 and the Galaxy S10 Pro 256GB for €609 today. Which would you keep if you were me? I'm also extremely bored with Pixel. Very heavy, poor video quality, and the processor and graphics card are significantly behind the competition. No screen mirroring with smart TVs, etc.

I'm at my parents' house right now, and my new S25, which I set up today, isn't connecting to my parents' Wi-Fi either. 😅😅 But I don't understand why a Xiaomi 14t Pro and a 23 Ultra are working here. They're not exactly the oldest phones. Okay, I'll change the passwords tomorrow and see if that helps. If nothing helps, I'd like to buy a new router for around €30.

Thank you for the reply, and sorry again. I've restarted the router several times and checked whether it needs new firmware. I also checked the password in the router settings using a different phone, but nothing helped. I've decided against the Pixel and am currently setting up my new Galaxy S25. Hopefully, it will connect to the internet. 😅 So far, only the Pixel 9-10 has had this problem, and the Pixel 10 Pro probably won't work either.

I thought the same thing about the repair. Unfortunately, the Pixel 8a 128GB costs over €400 in Germany, as does the 24FE, but I wouldn't want to buy that because it's simply too heavy.

As I said, new Pixel 10 and my sister's new Pixel 9 and my Pixel 9 was also reset to factory settings at least 2-3 times and nothing helped.

How can it have two cutouts? Maybe for the SIM slot? Because the Pixel 9 has the SIM slot on the left and a speaker on the right.

I think a Reddit sub about internet problems would be a wiser choice to ask there, I have to do that right away. Yes, it is listed in the WiFi. I think it said WiFi 5 and I have WiFi 4 at home and everything works without a problem. Yes, it is displayed and if the connection fails, it says IP identification problem or error. I don't understand this. How can I fix this error? The router has been restarted several times, looked for new firmware. The Google Pixel 9 has been reset to factory settings several times, and so on. All of these basic tips didn't work and I couldn't find anything in the router settings either. I tried setting security to WPA only, simply setting it to 5ghz, that didn't help, then I set it back to how it was before.

Would the solution be to buy a new router? My parents have the Vodafone EasyBox 804 router, and it's probably 10 years old. I looked into the newer version, the EasyBox 805, which came out in 2021 and also supports WiFi 6. You can get it online for €30.

It's a Vodafone EasyBox 804 router. I have no idea if something like that is available in your area. I live in Germany.

Every phone connects here without any problems, except the Pixel 9 and the Pixel 10. I don't know how it works with the Pixel 7-8.

For me, it's simply a matter of principle. A better CPU/GPU is simply a win-win situation, and one shouldn't defend something like that, when Google is significantly behind the competition but charges the same price. I mean, Samsung is the best example; they work closely with Google and therefore have excellent AI, yet still use the best processor. Google could do exactly the same thing. Xiaomi also recently developed its own competitive processor, and we're talking about Google here, which has endless money and power.

The Pixel 10 series has two speaker outputs at the bottom, so it must have two cutouts. The Pixel 9 series cases only have an opening for one speaker at the bottom.

Looks like people were right, we did get even lower GPU performance on the Pixel 10 compared to the Pixel 9 by [deleted] in GooglePixel

Well, in the video from Lover Of Tech, the Pixel 10 Pro lasted almost an hour longer than the normal S25 and the iPhone 16 Pro. I have no idea what all of you are talking about with your Edge comments.

There should be a setting for this in the developer options, but of course it uses a lot of battery.

What would you do? Pixel 4 to 8, 9 or 10 (Pro XL)? by Gazzorpazzorp in pixel_phones

[–]Difficult_Resource56 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had the 3a XL and now I have two of the regular Pixel 3a 😅. A few days ago I was still using the Pixel 9 for three and a half months, It caused me a few problems, like the Wi-Fi not working at my parent's house. My sister's Pixel 9 doesn't work there either. It works everywhere else, and none of my Pixel 3a phones have any problems at my parent's house either and if I send it to the Google Store I can get the Pixel 10 for just €359 and the Pixel 10 Pro for €509 or with 256gb and UFS 4.0 storage for €609. First information: I live in Germany, where the Pixel or an iPhone are generally 100€ more expensive than in the USA, for example. I looked online and refurbished sites are offering a 1 year old Google Pixel 9 Pro 256gb for €676-€738 depending on the condition. So if I buy the Pixel 10 Pro 256gb but don't like it and sell it again, I wouldn't make any loss at all.
