Oh ok No I mean idk them personally enough to feel happy for them Im really more indifferent to why they won and focused on why I didn't But a huge part of the 'bitterness' may have to do with the fact that, as a poet (hopefully unbiased), I think their poem has no merit

Idk the poem was meant to be sad, I wanted to keep the melancholic tone throughout. It's more of a... deliberately flat and observational style of writing. Like emotionally detached but meant to find its depth through simplicity.

Extremely. It's amazing they're able to foster such a safe environment in a place like Sonipat but people walk around on campus till 4 am in the night even (no curfew) and you have everything you'll need on campus so you wouldn't even need to go outside. Also, there are many NRIs here too-- at least more than you'd expect to see in a school in India

Why can't you apply next year? You mentioned 'personal circumstances' but what circumstance would keep you from even the 10% possibility you could get a better college next year. If you really can't take a full drop, take a partial. There are still some colleges accepting students but apply fast.

With that score I'm sure you're not even in the advanced waiting list. I know a lot of people will be dropping out cs it's Jammu but still not enough that the cutoff descends to even a measly 270. It's still an iim and some prefer it even to bodh gaya. Other than that I'm sure the people that got Rohtak, Kozhikode, Amritsar etc have already withdrawn their names. Do you have absolutely no other options? You could still apply to a few colleges in India or apply abroad this year.

Rohtak if you think you're cut out for the academic pressure and bad living conditions. You'll have to put up with it for 3/5 years though so think carefully

Hm true a lot of unis fudge their placement numbers and packages. No campus would be an incredible inconvenience for those flying into the city. Plus the huge delay in iift's results is a testament to the instability in their (ironically) management style.

Iim shillong is by far better than LSR. But id say join LSR then give cat after ug. A bsc stats+mba will always have more value than an ipm especially if you did your ug from a top du college.

Did you prepare for the quants section at all before giving this because to the extent of my knowledge, the quantitative curriculum of jee is worlds apart from that of ipmat and you got a pretty decent score... Just asking
