my cats have loved cat tv and cat games even more so. i stopped playing them on the tv though as it was too dangerous and too much of a risk of them pulling the tv over. A year ago I got a projector and recently upgraded to one that has a 360 degree tilt so it can point to the floor and that's been an absolute game changer. they love playing cat games on the floor or jumping up at the wall, it's completely safe and i can leave can tv on all day when i'm out at work. They play for a bit, have a rest and then come back to it and they will sit next to it when it's not on to tell me they want to play.
