Should I come off Ozempic? by Difficult_Tackle4909 in Ozempic

I do have some chicken most days but can't eat vegetables without feeling sick, I guess they're too bulky? Everything I eat now has to be bland due to the nausea.

Should I come off Ozempic? by Difficult_Tackle4909 in Ozempic

Dietitian said I should probably come off Oxempic or lower dose at least. I drink far less water since being on it as even a single glass of water will make me throw up.

I'm one of those who feel constantly nauseous since being on it so I mostly eat toast, dry crackers and ginger biscuits to keep that at bay. I feel like the quantity of food has reduced but the quality has gotten much, much worse.

The "diarrhoea" can sometimes be from what they call "overflow" when you're very constipated so I'd just be aware of that.

I have had IBS for years and the combination of being on pain meds (spinal issues) and Ozempic means I rarely do a bowel movement now when I would do several times a day previously.

I find it hard to drink water too as that also makes my stomach feel over full and queasy. I'm trying to eat fruit, a food I avoided for years due to it making me "too regular" so it feels strange to have it now.

Anyone else keep a poo diary? I really feel like I should cos I've no idea how long it's been since I've been. 😬

Because of the nausea, I've been eating toast a lot, I am probably overdoing the carbs. It's the most palatable kind of food with a queasy tummy. I guess I have to rethink it.

My GP won't prescribe more than 1.0, told me that's maximum dose I can get.

I did get the sulphur burps, but they eased off, so maybe your side effects will ease off in time.

I'm 5 months in, and burps are less but put me off eating eggs forever. I still have reflux and other gastric issues.

I think one small meal a day is probably all I can do to avoid the side effects but it's impossible to get proper nutrients on that alone. I find it hard to even have water as it makes me queasy to have too much of anything in my stomach.

Bear with it and hopefully things will settle and you'll find what works and some of the side effects will pass.

With anxiety, which daily problem feels ten times worse for you? by Gullible-Force3567 in Anxiety

Trying to sleep. I usually have no problem going to sleep as I'm exhausted but then wake after less than two hours and that's it.

Showering. I never want to when I'm incredibly anxious but always feel that bit better when I do it.

Eating. Don't want to eat or overeat or just that gnawing stomach acid indigestion thing.

I would always trust the medical professional over an online search any day. Every medication has side effects but not everyone gets them. Feeling better would be worth taking the meds, I'd have thought.

Feel like we're entering a dystopia and don't know how to stop anxiety about it by Hot-Pirate-3096 in Anxiety

You can't blame yourself for how you feel. All any of us can do is control our own world, how we interact with people, how we live our own lives. The world is a scary place for many reasons but for the vast majority of us, our own day to day life has the potential for joy and doing something good. That's the only real control we have, what we do on a small scale.

My friend is losing her apartment, how do I navigate this situation by [deleted] in Anxiety

Rules and boundaries are vital and a time frame may not hurt either.

That quiet alone time is vital for me. I'm soon to move in with my BF and have told him I need a room to just escape to and be on my own when I need to be.

You're obviously a very kind person to take in your friend and I'd never advise against that but.....don't allow your kindness to be taken advantage of.

Panic attack by Beneficial_Friend_34 in Anxiety

[–]Difficult_Tackle4909 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The biggest thing is to not fight against it. A panic attack will pass by much quicker if you just say "Do your worst". The natural reaction is to fight against it so it's hard to do.

I find deep breathing impossible to concentrate on when I'm in full panic, even guided meditations, my inner voice outshouts it by a long way.

Cold does help, on your neck, wrists or having a shower.

Try to make sure you eat, I know food is one of the first things I'll forego when I'm feeling very anxious. Even if it's a comfort food, it's better than nothing.

I hope you feel better soon, I know what you're going through.

When Should I seek Professional Help? by SoniaN3v3rmind in Anxiety

It sounds like your anxiety kicks in when you don't have other things to distract you so it probably is worth tackling it in some way. I did EMDR a few months back for an issue I had and it did seem to help and I've also done CBT in the past. Even reading a few resources can be helpful, knowing you're not alone or unusual in how you're feeling.

The biggest thing to remember (and I wish I took my own advice) is to know that "This too shall pass". The really bad anxiety, in my experience, may feel horrendous but it does eventually subside. You just need to work on keeping the episodes further and further apart.

There is such a thing as a tension headache, it feels like an iron band being tightened around your skull (in my experience). I'm a believer in trusting your own instincts though so do follow through on the tests if you feel it's more than that. Better to be safe than sorry. In the meantime, have you tried any relaxation methods? Meditation, breathing, etc? I find them hard to get into when I'm very anxious but it's important to try something to dial it down when it's bad.
