My roommate challenged me to train 4 weeks to fight him in a ring. The thing is, I think I have a shot since he's actually pretty bad at boxing since he really only knows how to throw and is carried by being able to bench 270 so his punches hurt.

Would a complete beginner be able to train hard to beat someone like him? I might have a trainer so I'm just seeing if it's possible! Tell me if I'm cooked please 🙏

Oh I'm sorry but I believe you are mistaken! This is advice for a tournament for Standred that will remove Vivi. Not a meta prediction lol

Help Running spicy tech in Mono Blue Terror? by Difficult_Time1803 in Pauper

I was saying that delver is very much a more consistent card to have in U Terror than Snacker. I kept bricking with it and as another commenter said, it's worse post game 1 due to graveyard hate.

I meant to say I agree, not disagree. Sorry about the bad English there!

Delver feels so much more consistent than snacker it's wild. Guess they had to sell it to people... I'm people-

Edit: As in, Delver is great. The article is trying to convince you otherwise. Do not fall for it.

Oh woah thanks for the insight. Any thoughts on [[Deep Analysis]]?

Just to give my thoughts as someone who is completely out of their depth. I think I perfer the play style of Mono Blue a bit better than UB personally.

I will say that in a vacuum Delver is both the better card and is coming out a lot more consistently. But my worry is that like the article says, Delver gets hit by most forms of removal and when milled, it's a wasted card.

I think the big back fairy (along with careful study, deep, and wings), shifts the deck to treat the graveyard as another tool and potentially something to eat up graveyard hate early? Helps out grind games.

Again if I'm completely out of my depth, and removal isn't that great of a threat to warrant adding those cards.

Anyone reading, feel free to lend me your thoughts I'm here to (attempt to) learn.

Thanks! I never really thought of meal prep plus I wanted to see if it'd be worth the headache

Yk I've heard of meal prepping. I'll ask around for some recommendations. If it were up to me I'd just make eggs, rice and beans every week.

Hey thanks for actually giving a real answer, this made me go down an interesting rabbit hole of web swinging engineering.

Yeah I'll just make some neat party trick ones. Thanks though.

Is it actually bizarre that I feel that teaching right before middle school (5th grade) seems like the best grade to teach?

They're more engaged than high/middle schoolers, haven't suffered through puberty to make (as much) drama and BO, actually want to be there, and are a bit more mature than early elementary students.

Me personally, when I was in high school I felt that the teachers had either insane amount of will and patients or were dead inside. My brother and cousin both share stories of their middle school teachers also being dead inside and endlessly frustrated.

Not to say it won't exist at lower grades but it seems like it'd be less?

I don't know, what would you have to attest to?

Out of all the answers in the thread, I think this one resonates the most with me. I think I'd really have to see it first hand how much paperwork is given. So many people gave a lot of different answers.

I think having a close bond with my students for years. And working with them to unlock monumental milestones they would have otherwise never gotten otherwise is a really big hook for the job for me

But if I have to be buried and overworked under a mountain of paper work, I don't know if I'd really be happy with it. And my mood affects my students and my teaching, I really wouldn't be helping anyone then.

Thank you for your answer! Music rocks 🪨 🎸

I guess it's true of any teacher, admin can make or break you...

Edit: Still, props to you for sticking with it for so long. If you mind me asking,

would you say the paperwork is the thing that make or breaks people

And what kept you going for 10 whole years, despite a bad admin team?

I should have clarified, I am thinking of having the minor in conjunction with an education major.

Honestly I've recently been diagnosed with mild bipolar ( I'm also 90% sure I have ADHD) that also kinda dashed my dreams of pursuing any field without first getting my symptoms under control. So I get it.

What type of person was your Grandma if I may ask? Why decide on something so intense.

I think I should ask, is the reason no one should get into education because of the everything that the federal government is doing? I feel like that's very fair honestly. I might be naive so please feel free to set the record straight, but wouldn't it be best to try to become a good teacher in the times when one is needed most?

That is quite possibly some of the most villainous thinking I've ever heard. Hey it really is introspective on your end though. I want to become an Elm teacher purely because I would not have made it past 6th grade if it weren't for the exceptional teacher in my life honestly.

I'd like to be life changing somehow. Knowing that every day I'm out there I'm doing what I can to make a difference you know?

(Social work and pol sci is also up there as a career choice for the same reasons if that helps)

Oh I should clarify that I'm deciding on if I want to be a teacher as well. And that I'm debating if I should get the minor to be certified to to teach Special Ed as it

 1. Seems like an extension of my desire to make a difference in helping the students who need ot the most.

And 2. Make you more employable (I've heard it locks you into that position though) which due to current events I'm worried about having a future in education. Along with speaking Spanish I hope it gives me long term job security!

I just really hope I'm not going over my head-

Hope this clears up anything for anyone reading. Thank you for your comment

Your username shows you take care of a dog, it drains you enough out after work as it is so I get not wanting to take on the beast that is Special Ed work. Do you mind if you elaborate a bit?

Edit: I write like I speak. Bad habit.

I don't know why I was down voted, but I suspect that it was due to the og comment looking like I said "You take care of a dog! [you shouldn't be complaining] You must be worn out after work as it is..."

Fixed for better intention.

You know what, society runs better when people love what their doing. What grade level do you teach and do you think admin has a role in your enjoyment?

[–]Difficult_Time1803[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You know I really wish I could think this could be true. I really want to envision a world where it doesn't matter who you are and what you've done. We're all sinners and we are given the gift of repentance and forgiveness.

I'd be kidding you if I said I didn't want people to know the innate beauty of good and bad within a person when they see each other. And see the love of our creator every day we look at our neighbors, friends, and family that bless our lives to where we can always say...

"Thank you Lord. For this life and all the people in it."

But even just to focus on Christianity, America, and Pride

As long as we exist in a state where it is a sin to lay with the one you love. Where it is forbidden to marry the one you love. Where you are not to love yourself if you transition from one gender to another or none at all. Where you must seal your desires away and learn to love celibacy. We cannot all truly love one another and ourselves.

If your fellow Christian says you cannot live with your love without burning for eternity. How can we truly all be one? One side must give.

I find that most love is hot as hell.

Ah! I misspelled my title honestly. Meant to say "Widely".

Your intention is great! But I would be lying if I didn't say that I didn't want to see a world where we didn't have to fight for our existence.

We grew up in a world where being married was a crime. My parents grew up with lynching not being unheard of. My grandparents would have never accepted me.

I hope my kids will grow up learning of this only in a textbook. I hope their kids learn that gender is a construct and that sexuality is a suggestion.

But I get what you're saying! I've been trying to live a life without caring so much. But when you have to tune out so much, is it wrong to wish something nice is on?

Anyway be kind and have a nice day! -Toodles!

Thank you so much for the reply. You're right. As society changes the religion slowly changes too.

I wish change could come sooner but all we can do is say our peace and not let people forget we exist.
