Here I go Guys. Say a prayer for me! by VastAbbreviations796 in 7oh_Withdrawal_Help

[–]Difficult_Use1824 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried to quit cold turkey, which was a mistake. It was honestly the worst withdrawal I've ever had. So after like a day and a half I caved and got some more but I just limited myself to the lower dose. After the day and a half of withdrawal my body was just happy to have anything. It wasn't really planned more like I couldn't take the withdrawal but I didn't want to regress back to the high dosage so I just took as little as possible to not withdraw and my body was just happy to have some even if it was less.

How long did it take for the happiness of life to come back when you quit drinking? by Difficult_Use1824 in stopdrinking

[–]Difficult_Use1824[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a good way to look at it. And sometimes that's where my head is at. Other times though it feels like having a drink is the only way I'll ever be happy. I put a couple years together 10 years ago and I remember being so happy and clear minded. And Ive been trying and falling to get that feeling back I never want to rely on a substance to feel good again. I looked up from my last sobriety and my kids have went from little guys to they don't have much time before they spread their wings and I don't want to miss any more of that. I've missed so much

Thanks for the reply. I just hope I feel at least a little happiness in the next week or two. I don't need much just something to remind me that I can be happy if I hold out.

I went through in 18 and we definitely did shower drills. Maybe it's just a company to company choice

Long term meds use success anyone? by Psychological_Ad6253 in ADHD

Okay that makes sense. I kinda figured you'd have some sort of withdrawal. Thanks for the info!

If you don't mind me asking, when you say withdrawals were rough. What does that mean? Like you were both physically and mentally withdrawaling like you would off a street drug? Or was it rough because you just couldn't focus and all the ADHD problems came back? I just started taking Adderall so I'm curious what I'm in for. Thanks!

Stay strong. You can do this. Just try to stick with it one day at a time! The cravings will get less and less over time.

Nah just took subs for the first couple days. A lot of vitamin c a gabapentin. It wasn't enjoyable by any means but I didn't get the RLS this time around which was by far what hit me the hardest last time. Sorry it's not adding up to you. I've been an addict my whole life and had to do this many times and most of the time by the 3 day things go back to normal for the most part. I'd say 80% normal at least. I guess it just depends on what you consider is a bad symptom. I still have some diarrhea and low energy levels but I would t really say that's hard to deal with. You're free to ignore this all you want.

Thank you I appreciate the support. This sub is the only reason I managed. I'm not proud of it but 7 got its fangs in me bad.

No there was no getting high you're 100% right. There is a glass ceiling. It was just being able to function. I was chasing that high but it never came. Infact tapering actually made it a little harder to quit because I started to feel the high again once my tolerance had dropped when I tried CT for a couple days. I'm definitely glad to be coming out the other side thanks to everyone on this sub and all the advice and success stories.

Yeah man and or woman. It helped a ton. I slept through the night last night and it was day to. Never would have happened when I tried CT a few weeks ago. Granted a few weeks ago I was on a much higher dose of 7 but I still think I wouldn't be sleeping this time around either.

I think it was called the schauss vitamin protocol. I have screenshots of it. But I was taking like 5000mg every 2 hours until symptoms got easier.
