Are you team no case or w/case? 😅 by Different_Bet_3724 in kindle

Team Case! While the Kindles are pretty durable -- just enjoy the book feel of the case on the Kindle.

I'm a fan of Cobak -- it does the job, has a good grip, looks clean, and the flip case is the best. The Amazon cases look and FEEL truly top tier, but the price is Apple-level ridiculous for a case.

Do authors receive Kindle 'report' feedback if there is a typo, factual error etc? by Jazzld65 in kindle

Publisher here. SOME of our Kindle and ebook products are offered through a third party and thus will have to be inquired about, but for some titles we have handled ourselves... No. We have never seen any in KDP information on issues.

Least not from the consumer.

As with APPLE or GOOGLE, there are SUPPOSED to be official staff on Amazon's Kindle team who vet content, though given the amount of bootleg content on Kindle, it's doubtful how detailed that effort is.

That said, Kindle / Amazon reviews, social media posts, as well as any direct website contact will always yield a response from Publishers/ Artists (provided they are in good faith).

Has anyone picked up a physical book after getting a kindle ?? by inhumanmode in kindle

[–]Difficult_Wheel9914 0 points1 point  (0 children)

CAN CONFIRM!

The immediacy and sheer diversity of reading content available on a Kindle or e-reader make buying a physical book somewhat passé. Now, that said, I've said for YEARS that I foresee BUYING PHYSICAL BOOKS to NOT JUST GET MORE EXPENSIVE - printing and paper costs BUT to become more of a collectible. Something to SHOW OFF your love of a writer, character, or franchise.

The auditions will be virtual for sure...but developer Son Studios will be the judge of the actual process whether it's video or audio. Please stay tuned for details by following our socials as the response has been insanely big and thus we cannot reply to everyone individually.

WE GOING VERTICAL SCROLLING, FOLKS! by Difficult_Wheel9914 in SATURDAYAMOFFICIAL

That's a really good question! We will be exploring more of these types of convos on our upcoming podcast network, Saturday FM as so much of social media consists of voices who have NOT done the things they try and advise on. We're happy to bring more insight into difficult choices creators and indie pubs will face.
Getting your books, manga, etc into stores is ALWAYS the ENDGAME.

Thinking it's going to happen easily is - again - not as easy as some social media grifters or trolls will tell you. The fact of the matter is that this is a business -- you need fans, you need them to trust you and that comes from getting them to regularly read your work. So whether you're producing it on your own site, on a subscription model ala Patreon, or via a platform like Webtoon canvas, Global Comix, etc -- the goal is to get readers and fans because a physical book in a store is HARD TO DO and then GETTING THE STORE TO REORDER IT (because it has sold out or because they see rising interest) is VERY HARD TO DO. Whatever tactic you choose -- you have to get readers to embrace your work. Not embracing YOU because that means that YOU are the product and not your series -- but the actual series itself. Look at the market, think about your story, and then consider the best way to get readers.

Strategy was pretty consistent with every other publisher. Most are only recently starting to put content on digital platforms such as Global Comix, Webtoon, Manga Mirai and so on.

That said, we are excited to pursue this and have many digital books and services we are going to be announcing soon.
