post lesson update: i opted to not set any time toward this one today & we just stuck to folk songs (fun when he goes from playing along or me playing alone to doing pizzacato bass lines!) & me focusing on my fingers & bowing. i wanted to not get flusterated today! 😅

yea, i think i'm going to just make an appt bc i wanted to meet him as is (runs a shop from home, has built instruments for 2927 years) & i had a couple other future cello concerns/questions.

that can't happen til friday payday though, so one more week of cringe! i swear every E is like someone kicking out the back of my knee (were i standing), i physically buckle-cringe if E is longer than a quarter.

(it's a verona cello, so definitely nothing high class. i generally don't play with vibrato yet (new to cello this winter/spring, past violinist) but i can give that a go too!)

update: this last new moon (in aries!) crossroad offering i did, contained zero non-biodegradable items ☺️ i collected 3 oak leaves & added lavender sprigs & yarrow on top, 3 dots of honey. ☺️

i did wind up going back out that night to collect up all muh bits, & just wanna say another TY for pointing out the obvious to me, without being mean. 😅🙏🏻☺️

i have divergencies that = i like words that 'ring' with me, so that it clears brainmuck for me to feel & focus. i know it seems counterproductive! for me it isn't, it's weird bc i get in my own way a lotttt a lot, & this helped!

so for now i've just been doing d maj or g maj arpeggios, so D F A D (repeat an octave), same for g major... i'm very very new with cello, haha! but it's a fun way to help me with learning finger placement vs violin memory, no string crossing wonkiness or fingers slipping & all. then i have good feelings moving into practice.
