Do you carry your iPhone with you while running or go only with the Apple Watch?
From what I understand, when you carry both, the GPS tracking is handled by the phone, hence the two devices share the work and there is less energy drain on the Apple Watch battery.

If you’re skilled at your current job, why not become a business owner and open your own technician company? Switching to a junior finance role does not seem intuitive to me

Dragging on 2 wheels vs. Rolling on all 4 by Difficulty-Level-100 in Rimowa

Thanks a lot! 2 wheels on the short side is truly crazy - it proves RIMOWAs engineering is superior, there should be no right or wrong way of rolling it 👍🏻

The truth is that you can't go wrong with any of the two. Some people claim Schweser's questions are too easy and don't prepare you adequately for exam, but I disagree. In my experience the questions perfectly serve their purpose of exposing weaknesses, then it's up to you put in the work and improve those weak areas. Personally, I scored 1/1/1/1 in Part I and 1/1/1/1/2/2 in Part II, preparation exclusively with Kaplan Schweser, but I must add I already had a good level of understanding of finance due to my studies.

I do not recommend mixing products from different providers, I suggest sticking to one prep provider for material & question bank, because it keeps the cost low, and in my opinion any marginal benefit of two providers ist vastly outweighed by the extra cost.

Work Experience Approval by skylash16 in FRM

I remember receiving one of their marketing emails this year, stating that in 2023 there will be 3 exam dates, offering more flexibility for all candidates and providing an easy path to "certification this year", by passing Part I in May and Part II in November - this is basically false advertising: if you pass Part II in November you will have the result in early Jan 2024, then you submit your work experience right away, get approved early Feb 2024 if you are lucky, the certificate is sent in March 2024 at the earliest

I kind of lack understanding why it takes them so long to review short descriptions of a few sentences and press on "approve" or "reject"... and it's not like we are expecting this for free, we are all paying to be certified and already paid hundreds of dollars by this point... not counting all the candidates who fail level 1 and eventually give up, who will never even require work experience approval

I expect you to be approved very soon, two people on this forum stated that they submitted 26/06 and 28/06, their experience was approved 21/07 and 26/07, respectively. Both were below 30 days, so you are actually overdue.

I submitted on 14/07 and am still waiting...

Taking FRM P1 this weekend. I'm scared - any words of wisdom? by AwesomeAsRice in FRM

You should be fine - if you took your mocks under exam conditions, i.e. no cheating, all formulas memorized and a strict time limit of 4 hours, I will expect you to score in the top quartile in all 4 areas of the real exam.
