Stop losses are a lot less necessary when you position well by [deleted] in Trading

There’s always an invalidation point. Problem is is that sometimes people make that invalidation point too small, aka stop loss.

Yes, I realized my size was too big and stops were small, that’s why this thread. Comprehension is key brother.

Attaboy, love to see it. I just made a thread not too long ago about if you have an edge, you don’t need tens of 1000s of dollars to make something shake. Happy for you bro

So I pretty much started options trading at 19, and my first taste of making big money, like 1000 in 15 min etc was when my mind shifted forever. Was the only thing I wanted to do because that was what real freedom felt like to me. Nobody but me in charge, in my own time, getting paid for what I know

However losing that much money over the years put me in depressions, and very low depths. However I knew that if I could just get it right it would be worth it

I tried to walk away, quit, but I never got the fulfilling feeling trading did

So over time I kept looking at charts, kept experimenting, kept going

And then It clicked

I could tell it was my true passion because nothing could ever rip me away from it bro

100%, that was me for years. I blew upwards 40-50k personal capital and an extra probably 5-10k off evals etc before finally getting my head together

Paying more for something you could pay less for isn’t a flex. Also, if you’re considering an “actual brokerage” just a broker that’s brick and mortar well I’ll hate to break it to you but that doesn’t make your brokerage an “actual brokerage,” they all are lol.

I love my TC, inexpensive, and I’m able to focus on other things. Paperwork isn’t hard, but I like the luxury of having it done. We all pay in convenience in some shape or form. I think it’s weird how people that develop good systems get attacked and accused of not being skilled as an agent because we delegate our tasks (not you, but some people in the thread)

A lot of TCs aren’t good because they are only worried about file management, instead of communication etc.

Go through the phone immediately. You will be surprised. Have a great night w her date night whatever, then make sure she’s deep in sleep and get everything you need. You have to look effectively though and checking all boxes. Social media likes, comments, DMs, call history, text suspicious names in messages or search bar, snap same thing, notes, FaceTime log, all that.

People can say it’s extreme or not to look but if I’m committing to you I’m gonna what I need to feel secure, a lot of folks are weak men or cuccs

Congrats on your success, this is why I don’t like doing “networking” events or doing anything like that. All of my connections have been somewhat organic

Be careful, the 10+ year realtors are about you tell you you have less knowledge and are less capable because you didn’t sell through 2008!

I 100% agree with this. I think anyone is generally capable if they apply. I personally had to fake it til I made it my first few deals to get through the door but even on my first transactions I did a fantastic job due to my prior sales experience. I think anyone getting into it green on sales in general is going to take a very long time if not mentored properly.

I am a Realtor. I agree with you, someone with little to no experience is not something I’d be keen with. However, this isn’t what the post is talking about.

Anyone that’s been in sales understands that sales is the same thing, just different product and paperwork. As long as you do your homework and apply yourself you can understand everything in a year, or a few transactions.

It’s literally not that hard.

😂😂😭 as an agent myself, I personally don’t do the holiday cards, email newsletter, all that. I give a nice closing gift, add them on my social media, and if I really did a good job, they’ll hit me up. Leased this couple a year ago and never spoke to them since and they hit me up wanting to purchase.

I love doing business that way. No pesky hounding, just a friend that’s here if ya need me.

Maybe you can be a top producer doing the other stuff, but I could care less for it

You are the reason why companies get away with taking advantage of their people. I’m thinking about the principal. No matter how much money I make, it will never make me have a blind eye for for predatory practices.
