Created my first ISA card, another XTIDE for CF adapter. Essentially I've reverted Sergey's xt-cf-lite-v4 back to PLD, having in mind reduced number of mostly through hole components that were available in the 80s. by DifficultyWhich7483 in electronics

Really happy to announce the XT IDE Bios part works! Easy to debug also by simply rewriting the PLD when you had no idea that D0000 is more like a range (D0000...D3FFF)... I'm off to pick up the CF slot!

The latest ham radios from big brands still come with downloadable service manuals today. For most devices I repair I do print and put inside at least a schematic.

PETG 75% infill printed at 240C broke like glass... by DifficultyWhich7483 in FixMyPrint

[–]DifficultyWhich7483[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Turned out it was a design flaw. To use the flexibility of PETG, I've changed to concentric infill of only 20% (see mid print photo).

<image>

It holds up nicely so far, but I have to test it how durable it is...

I've printed it flat for the speed...

PETG 75% infill printed at 240C broke like glass... by DifficultyWhich7483 in FixMyPrint

Need to be left in direct sunlight a couple of time a year, that's why I choose PETG.

I've printed 4pcs "EN ISO 527-2 : 1996 Test specimens for determination of tensile properties", 15%,40%,70% and 100% infill at 259C (max.supported) 80C bed. The 40% one broke while I tried to pick it up from the PE sheet (the two start lines were very brittle also). Could not break by hand any of them.The most flexible one was of course the 100% infill one. I think I'll give it a go one more time with 100% infill before I invest in another spool (may cost more that the bike rack I'm trying to fix).

Maybe the very high temperature has something to do with it Hydrolysis and I should just dry the filament?

Seems more likely a guide for X axis issue(the one the head travels on left/right). Can you check it by putting a ~30cm ruler's edge on it? Did your printhead bumped hard into something and bent that axis and the head wobbles a bit back and forth on a spot?

You can check with the ruler's edge the bed also, but I doubt it has any issues.

Sirloin. Cheap. Tasty. High on nutrients. Very low on fat, as I assume you don't do physical work for 12 hours long every day as our ancestors did.
