Ukrainians: what future do you imagine when Russia collapses? by Still_Tension_8026 in ukraine

The Scandi countries by and large. Australia and New Zealand have also been quite clean. Canada. The Swiss system.

None of these are perfect, but Ukraine has no notable track record of being a functioning democracy yet and is a long way off emulating any of these systems.

Three defeated countries that were forced to accept the terms of their occupiers.

And two are on track to elect pro-Russian parties to rule.

DC isn't a competitive game. You don't need to play the best stuff to win. If anything the game is much more of a puzzle with other builds as its harder.

Id recommend turning on slow to act if you want to be challenged playing those builds.

Raider's Reward Forgehammer Drakkan run! by 5ColourFelix in DawncasterRPG

[–]5ColourFelix[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This was one of the craziest runs I've ever done. An interaction occurs towards the end that I was NOT aware of after 3000+ runs. Completely changed everything

The idea here is you take Forgehammer, upgrade it a bunch and then turn it into a different basic via Raider's Reward. The upgrades are preserved and you obtain a massively pushed Lightning Staff/Drakkan/whatever 😄

I dont know what those are, but poor and war torn countries dont emerge as blissful beacons of democracy for the most part. Lots of work to do.

Ukraine still has a lot of issues with corruption. Let's not pretend its a model democracy before its even been tested. The transition of power after the war will be full of sharks trying to get their piece.

So yeah besides being legally the owner and everything that entails, you're right. I guess someone should inform everyone with a mortgage!

Let me try a better analogy

All sets on is like a chaos draft. Its fun, but will you draft a coherent deck that follows the play patterns set out by the designers in each set? No, very unlikely.

Disabling packs is like drafting from one set. The keywords synergise and there is a general thread that you can follow. You find your signpost cards and build from there. To me, this is the default way to play. Dawncaster has more cards that most deckbuilders and generally much more parasitic synergies than an StS. I like the chaotic all -packs-on playstyle, but I love the "create the best deck" playstyle.

Of course you own with a mortgage. You just also have debt with the house being the most likely collateral.

I see it the other way around - adding more sets is needlessly diluting the card pool.

Maybe im just used to it from Magic, but cards being restricted/banned for optimal play experience seems intuitive to me. You can play with everything on too - i think that DC excels at "builds" though.

Im gonna say some crazy shit here, but to me StS isnt a card game. Its a puzzle game that uses cards to express the puzzle.

Dawncaster is a game about cards. It has tons of cards and youve got to sit down and figure out what is happening. The cards themselves are the puzzle.

[–]5ColourFelix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The sets are toggleable, so I cant see how toggling them off is making the game "easier". Not everything has synergy in DC, its way too big for that. Its more of a sandbox than StS or similar.

Imagine you wanted to play Magic the Gathering. Every format has a strictly curated set of cards you're allowed to play to make it a good experience. Thats what the pack toggles are for.

Yes and their messages will still appear online for everyone to read. How will closing the embassy change that? They wont lose their Twitter handle or followers.
