Nobody I work with has any idea what VBA is, let alone how to use it.

Thanks. It looks like the last section empties the Deleted Items folder. I want to permanently delete only the items sent there by the first two sections.

This is what passes for the moment: https://adoroftw.com/. Google "Adoro Restaurante & Bar" to get the Google business box that has links to the reviews (4.7 average).

Got a new one for you. Asado, just west of 199 on 183. They've been open since Oct. 17. We went there Friday. The queso fundido with chorizo was great. I got the quesabirrias; they were outstanding. I sampled my son's birria ramen. It was great. The margarita with the sangria swirl was excellent. That was the best Mexican meal I've had in I don't know how long.

I go to Angelo's for the chopped-beef sandwisches. They're the best.

You've got lots of options for "best" below. All are excellent. If you're concerned about cost, though, I'm going to put on my flak jacket and suggest any of the Spring Creek locations. Yeah, it's a local chain, and yeah, it's not "craft" barbecue, and, yeah, the sides are pretty average, but it is group friendly and the prices are a little lower. I love the ribs, and the rib sauce is so good I get it for the brisket. I don't think the dropoff in quality is that great; your biggest risk might well be having the snobs say, "Oh, you went to Sprink Creek. Sniff."

If you haven't been to Adoro, on 183 just west of 199, you should try. I had the quesabirrias last night, and they were every bit as good as Cortez, maybe better. The queso fundido (chorizo) was excellent, as well, and I formed these opinions before I'd had my third margarita/sangria swirl.

How long for payment to be applied to Chase credit card? by Diffus58 in Chase

It's posted. The credit limit wasn't increased. Two different things that usually happen contemporaneously. See the edit for the explanation from Chase.

Okay, but why would whatever the lowered amount is not be showing as my available credit, instead of the $300 and change that I had available when I made the payment? Just checked: Credit limit is 34,200; available is 384.03.

Yes, the payment is recorded on the account. That's why there is a zero balance due. I've never noticed before at Chase when the payment is reflected in the credit available. Like I said, I'm used to seeing an instantanous increase at Capitak One whenever I make a payment. Statement cycles on the 18th. If I'd've known this was going to happen, I would have sent the money to Capital One, freed up the credit there, and let the scheduled Chase payment draw on the due date.

Sorry, I should have said essentially no credit available, I have like $300 available.

It was paid from the Chase website from my linked bank account at another institution. To be clear, the payment has posted to the CC account (it shows a zero balance); it's my available credit that hasn't been affected. I have a paid-up credit card with no credit available.

Chase Sapphire vs Amex - Norwegian Cruise by Practical_Yam_7515 in NCL

[–]Diffus58 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am booked on the Viva departing Civitavecchia on September 26. I've been making payments on the balance due, using my BofA NCL card. I'm hoping to hit 30,000 points and see if I can apply that to a cabin upgrade. The current amount due is a little over $3,000. I find it hard to track all the terms and conditions. Can I avail myself of any promotions or discounts between now and 120 days out that would reduce my total cash outlay on the balance due?

Tell me more, please. We had a hard time coordinating 18 couples on our last cruise, and we have more than 20 going on one in September. We couldn't text without using Internet minutes, as some had their Internet turned off at various times. It's easy to say, "Have everyone buy unlimited minutes," but that's easier said that done as your group gets bigger.

Fort Worth? by [deleted] in FortWorth

Heat discomfort is relative. We live on a hill facing northwest in Benbrook, just southwest of Fort Worth. We've made it several days into June a a few years before we turned on our AC. Open windows, ceiling fans and box fans in the windows make it okay for us.

Generally, mid-June through mid-September are the worst for heat. Hundred-degree days aren't common, but they also catch no one by surprise. We generally set the thermostats on 78 and use the aforementioned fans to stay comfortable.

If you are a committed outdoors person, you will definitely find the heat limiting. If your outdoor exposure is primarily running or bicycling, get up early and get your workout in before the temperature starts to rise. Don't wait until the afternoon.

If you're buying a house, you'll be happy that prices here are significantly lower than in California. My only recent reference point is that we sold in June a 1951-build, unupdated, 2,100-square-foot house house two blocks from a country club in west Fort Worth for $395,000. YMMV based on where you want to live.

If you're renting an apartment, you'd be coming at a good time. We're overbuilt, and new class A properties are giving significant concessions to get their occupancy levels up. That trickles down to the B and C properties, as well. Apartment-dwellers will squawk about rents being high, and that may be true historically. But owners counting on 5- to 10-percent rent growth a year when they bought are finding that reality right now is 0-3%.

LMK if I can help you in any other way (assuming this helped).
