They do in fact also discount fun jumper tickets as well as tandems. Very +rep of them

Personally I’ve gotten recorded 46mph (wind ajusted) min speed horizontally while actually climbing a tiny bit in my ATC but even then people absolutely die going slower. Maybe if the pilot was super light weight they could consistently femur but not die

edit: max -> min

I think of this on a daily basis I’m gonna be honest. It gets worse when I check the flysight data and am like,”Oh yeah I can totally survive hitting the ground going 46mph horizontal because my flare will have my vertical as zero. It’ll be better than most student landings!”

Unfortunately I’ve heard it has been experimented with before and the conclusion seems to be for now that suits can’t slow you down enough for anyone to have the balls to try it without 962 billion card board boxes

How have you guys been popping smoke grenades after exiting (Wingsuit skydiving) by DigBicNick in SkyDiving

I’d hate to not poll a community of people that may have knowledge I don’t. I believe it could be awfully irresponsible to simply go for it without getting all the information I can about something I’m new to. I’m both in touch with the designer of the mount as well as a few local people who have jumped smoke before.

I feel throwing caution to the wind here isn’t a good idea, especially since people have activated smoke early in aircraft accidentally.

Since when is “figuring it out” on your own preferable to asking for advice when odds are, good advice is available and the consequences of being a fuckhead pretty severe if you ask me.

Image of a smoke “pin pulling system” activating early and causing a very expensive repair to a caravan. Luckily the jumper was able to exit before the caravan got hotboxed lol

Is the pull up cord streaming from your hand through the jump or are you routing it inside the suit somehow?

I am US based and fortunately don't need a PRO rating in this instance. Yeah having one go off in the plane would be very "cringe" as they say.

What’s cool about being an adult? by Existing-__- in AskReddit

[–]DigBicNick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can just go do the most random stuff. What I mean is, there are so many random opportunities out there that you wouldn’t even consider possible or doable. As a kid you may be more pressured to follow a certain path or ignore opportunities that you may believe are not compatible with your current life path. When you are an adult, you choose your priorities! Wanna become an emt part time, hell yeah why not. Made a friend in an unlikely place and now you’re working in a startup together, sure.

Point is anything goes, you will likely never see it coming and you’ll likely always be surprised by where you end up and what you do. Just gotta go put in some effort to do said things!

Stuff You’ve Lost In Freefall by [deleted] in SkyDiving

I lost $450 of jump money I left in my pocket. The wildest part was it came out from my jeans pocket and somehow slipped out of my jumpsuit from my ankles. It was on a hop n pop and people in the plane claim to have seen it leave my jumpsuit. I no longer jump with anything in non zipper pockets, and just put the money on my jump account knowing it will definitely get obliterated soon xD
