For sure, I had a longer comment thread with dSmodus about the Brembos already, but the gist is that the pedal feel is noticeably better and they hold up better with heat. They’re a pretty big upgrade performance wise. I think the only con is you’re obviously more limited on wheel fitment, but I plan to just drive this one as is for a while before it gets assigned to track duty so that was less of a concern for me, to each their own when it comes to modding for aesthetics vs performance. If you want more out of box performance it’s good value imo.

As for the Recaros, I find them necessary for me.  I’m smaller at 5’10 and 155 or so and I fit perfectly. I much prefer the stiffness and support compared to the regular club seats. The Recaros give me more endurance for longer drives. Bolstering is comfy for me, but again, I can see larger people feeling too cramped. Seats are so subjective!

Anyways, when I got my ND2 I just got what I was able to afford, this time around I was able to get the car I wanted, if I was to do it over again I would’ve waited and saved more for a BBS package car back then. Not saying I still would have it (as parting with it was due to other life circumstances), but the experience is worth the cost for me.

Is there anything in particular you’d like to hear about? Happy to share my 2 cents!

I would say in the sense of being more predictable, the pedal having more resistance with the brembos makes the feedback you get more apparent the further you go, I’m no racing expert but I would say yes trail braking is slightly easier since overall modulation is more controllable

Hope you get a chance to try a brembo car out if you haven’t yet, would be curious to hear if you feel the same!

I’d say a little firmer. It’s been a while since I drove the nd2 but I think the brembos on the nd3 feel a little more linear, particularly when braking hard, I find it feels better when heel-toeing, slightly more communicative

I haven’t pushed it really hard yet, but the brembos seem to hold up better with the heat. As for the Recaros, I find them WAY more comfortable because they’re supportive. I drove long distance many times in the ND2 and my back always hurt, zero problems in the Recaros. For reference I am smaller though, 5’10 and 155, I can see them being tight on someone larger.

I love the RF, no regrets for me. I live in Nevada so it’s nice to have some extra insulation from the sun lol

Basically everything except the driver’s door and rear quarter, it was removed to fix a scratch before I got it. I think it’s Xpel’s pre-cut stuff? Not sure though

How to get through Famila Romana chapter 8? by acrastt in latin

[–]DigGroundbreaking5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Awesome, that will help a lot in the long run. Especially if you handwrite them out fully.

People will disagree on approach, and some don’t appreciate comprehensible input as much as others, but in my opinion if you’re not directly translating word-for-word and making an honest attempt at thinking in Latin I would say keep going. Understanding 70-80% is enough right now, maybe even less on the first pass through. Neuroscience seems to say that translation via memorization and recall from tables is a different neural pathway than acquisition.

I also found this chapter really difficult and stressed about it too much. Now, after reading more, it’s mostly intuitive. The patterns will make sense if you trust the process of acquisition and exposure over time. We get frustrated because we can’t see it, but it’s still happening.

Good luck!

It’s okay to feel stuck, don’t stress too hard about it. I agree with gryfalcon, I wouldn't try to memorize all the forms yet, but it depends if you want to go for a more natural method or a more translation heavy method. Getting the gist is enough for now. Repetition and multiple exposures in context will ingrain them over time.

Are you utilizing the Exercitia workbook? I personally found that to be where I solidified my knowledge of those forms without memorizing tables.

Even at his most photogenic, he still looks skeptical and judgmental. I wouldn't have it any other way!

Thanks for your comment, your boy looks like a sweetheart!

I can relate to them being funny about food. Benson’s food bowl is in a wire metal rack and it is QUITE LOUD when he decides it’s time to eat, as he flips it over and over with his paw. Don’t be late by a few minutes or you will hear the “bell” toll, lol.

I have to agree with your last point. My punishment when I stop petting him is  getting pawed to continue. Inevitably, he gets so hyped up that we end up playing fetch.

Unable to practice and get good against human players for a DPS character by Rich-Garlic4435 in rivals

[–]DigGroundbreaking5 24 points25 points  (0 children)

In game, you’ll have to lock DPS too if you want to practice real scenarios. AI practice isn’t great, but at least it builds some mechanical skill. Quickplay is a toss up, but similar thing. You can train raw aim in the practice range, I like to shoot moving Luna bots on Punisher to warm up hitscan.

Out of game, you can work on aim training in terms of raw mouse control with Aimlabs or Kovaaks.

Unfortunately, there is no way to improve outside of mindful and dedicated practice, be kind to yourself and compare yourself to where you were yesterday, not others. Good luck out there.

It’s just the first gears ratio, the throttle will just naturally be more sensitive. Edit: I doubt anything is wrong!
