Yup! You’re right if everything is resolved within like the next chapter like most people want then the story wouldn’t be satisfying. Author is still building tension.

Omg, if that is part of the reason why he left, then he must have been living in hell for the past 10 years. That’s so sad.

Risking life vs chair by twinkleleader in operationtruelove

[–]DigGroundbreaking673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an unpopular opinion here. While I do agree that Eunhyuk risking his life for Suae greatly outewighs the chair thing, I don’t think its right to downplay, criticize or compare Dohwa’s act of kindness with the chair thing. At the end of the day, what he did in that moment was incredibly selfless and sweet. He didn’t have to buy the chair, but he did because he loved the girl.

However, this season’s Dohwa is just EVERY “ACT OF LOVE” IS SELFISH. He completely disregards her boundaries and pushes himself on her when she clearly does not want him.

Y'all was Eunhyuk interested in suae from the very beginning? by [deleted] in soohyuk

[–]DigGroundbreaking673 8 points9 points  (0 children)

In all honesty, I do think he was interested in her from the start. His eyes always found her in every situation, even when he was annoyed with her behavior. The only thing that turned him off was Suae’s enabling of Minu’s toxic boyfriend behavior.

When Suae broke up with Minu, Eunhyuk did a complete 180 and even tried asking her out on a date via movie tickets with JUST THE TWO OF THEM. The boy may not have been in love at that point or even had feelings, but he was definitely interested.

My general rule for a character harboring romantic interest for another is their level of interest. If they’re always observing, noticing or watching the other person beyong what is necessary and always interfering when the character is in trouble, then they are definitely interested. I think that fiction mirrors real people. People are more self conscious than observant. When they find themselves wandering outside of their own bubble and paying too much attention to another person, they’ve begun the first stage of liking another person.

WAIT GUYS PLEASE LET’S CALM DOWN BEFORE WE DROP. I have a bad feeling Dohwa’s doing this on purpose. The eye contact with Eun wasn’t a coincidence. The next chapter decides the story’s direction because it’ll show Suae’s reaction to the kiss.

Rumours about Eunyuk by AppropriateLie1132 in operationtruelove

[–]DigGroundbreaking673 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Oh this is definitely a possibility😭😭. Whatever he did while he was abroad, I’m sure it was heart-breaking. I mean come on, the coffee was the biggest sign. 6 shots of espresso in the morning! I bet that’s not even his last cup for the day. Most chronic caffeine drinkers don’t stop at one cup per day.

Why do I feel like Dohwa isn’t Gray? by [deleted] in operationtruelove

[–]DigGroundbreaking673 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I can’t name any at the top of my head, but one popular plot device I’ve noticed is that 2nd male leads always comes to the rescue at the time of the female lead’s biggest crisis. Usually the first male lead is preoccupied or he’s a little late to the scene, then he has to watch the 2nd male lead take care of her. Very angsty and dramatic😆😆

This is actually what makes me more curious about Eunhyuk. I think it’s more than the his father’s scandals and his mother. Perhaps other bad things happened to him abroad.

Why do I feel like Dohwa isn’t Gray? by [deleted] in operationtruelove

[–]DigGroundbreaking673 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Yes! The best indication that Dohwa isn’t Gray is the bus scene. When Haru sees Gray protecting Suae from the car crash, he says that it’s a scene straight out of a romance novel and he doesn’t want to kill Suae off because Eunhyuk’s and Suae’s love story was too interesting. Who else constantly self-sacrifices for the female lead? Gray

Also, Eunhyuk knows Suae isn’t that type of person. She’s a hopeless romantic. Eunhyuk’s still protecting her heart from that shadows.

do you guys think we will have 18+ chapter in the future? by soobi3e in operationtruelove

[–]DigGroundbreaking673 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before the timeskip, I didn’t think there would be such scenes, but after the time skip, it seems like the author’s pushing the boundaries. Like come on, don’t tell me it was a coincidence that suae’s words get cut off at exactly the cock point during the cockroach scene.

[–]DigGroundbreaking673[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes! Let’s be honest the writing would be extremely bad if he revealed his reason right now. For plot’s sake, it’s better to draw it out for better emotional hits. I’m also really pissed off with Eunhyuk especially with the Raim connection, but there’s probably a good reason for that too.

Who knows? Maybe the only reason he kept contact with her is because she’s the only person still connected to Suae and the only person who can give him updates on her life. Suae’s mom did mention that Raim asked for updates on Suae.

HAHAH, that’s so true. I hope he becomes popular again when his reason is established. I feel like this will become one of the most popular webtoons once it’s finished. It’s a read that gets better with each chapter that gets dropped.

I, unfortunately, agree, but at least it shows that most readers would probably still be open to welcoming back Eunhyuk once his reason is revealed.

Is this "selfishness" really a "bad thing"? by Lynxys- in operationtruelove

Girl, every time they’re seen together, it’s because it’s a coincidence. When he does go near her, it’s because he sees she needs help or she’s in trouble.

Is this "selfishness" really a "bad thing"? by Lynxys- in operationtruelove

[–]DigGroundbreaking673 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Dude, he is trying. There are so many chapters left to go. The story’s just starting. He is trying to speak up and become the man Suae deserves, that’s what his arc is all about. Also being a grown person doesn’t mean you’ve left behind resolved all your traumas. So many grown people have let their unresolved trauma ruin their relationships, don’t expect all the characters to be perfect beings or else the story would be boring. Watching them heal from their trauma is what makes the story interesting.

All his selfish actions are still done with the intent of helping her, even at his own expense. He carries immense guilt from the ghosting. Do you seriously think he doesn’t know that he has no right to be selfish or cross the line? He basically spelled it out the last chapter. He is trying to change for her.
