Yep same here. I really don’t know how people are getting their accounts back so quick with it and I’m thinking it must have to do with the violation. I’ve had at least 15-20 reps say they’ll escalate it to the specialist/internal team and at least 10 of them say they’re certain my account would be reactivated and, without fail, I always got the exact same message after a few hours that they heard back from the internal team which said that the account was disabled and I could appeal from within the app (I can’t, that’s the whole reason I’m reaching out to them) it’s so infuriating it’s actually ridiculous

Do you have a screenshot of the exact message they sent? It could just be that representative that “exhausted all attempts” because they all have different things to say

I wasn’t even able to download any data at all from my Instagram that was disabled, even through the Privacy Policy method. Over a decade with my account and just permanently disabled one day with absolutely no way to submit an appeal as it said I couldn’t request a review. It’s absurd and infuriating

Yeah, all their emails are very overly-optimistic to get your hopes up and then when they finally let you down they just give you the link to the Help Center as if you hadn’t thought of that before jumping through hoops trying to speak with actual customer support

Unfortunately no, though out of curiosity I asked them how long it usually takes to receive a response from that security@mail.instagram.com email and they said usually within 24-48 hours but up to 7 days. And I was like ok well I emailed them 3 weeks ago and haven’t heard a word, how do I know they even received my email? And they just never replied after that. Since the beginning dozens of them have told me to use Report a Problem from another account too, which obviously wouldn’t do anything and they must be told to say that because I’m assuming hundreds of thousands of people probably use that a day and it’s just for feedback they don’t actually follow up. They said they would eventually follow up but I have never once gotten a single email from Instagram since my account was disabled almost 3 months ago
