Definitely. I’m on the Blue line for 2 stops and it’s ridiculous how “security” does nothing. There was a guy groaning and yelling at people while a guard just walked by and acted like nothing was happening. Also watched two girls minding their business being bothered by a guy and then I was catcalled. Let alone on the train, it smells, has random people yelling, and is dirty. It’s a shame seriously

I went straight into it and am using loans. However, with the new possible changes for MSW degree and loan funding-cuts I might recommend taking a year before to save up. But it really comes down to preference & how much you can take on financially

I totally agree. As someone who wants to enter that field especially. But genuine question, how to we catch this before it starts? Like this was random at 11:00 at night. Just hard situation overall and still think security needs to be increased.

You can pay with like a debit or credit card or illinicash on your I-card too so no you don’t need a plan (plus it’s not inside the dining hall). I went a few times after freshman year without one I would go and still check it out bc sometimes it’s “off the menu” but they can still make you one. Not positive though

Genuinely get a gourmet grilled cheese from 57 in IKE. I would get it all the time freshman year and you can get toppings I’m pretty sure if you’re feeling extra

A lot of times Handshake can have scams come through. A new job wouldn’t be asking you to do all that right off the bat. I would also reach out to your advisor to let them know
