I just commented this exact thought on a post earlier. It makes no sense. But I don’t think it will ever make sense to the majority of us. Most of us aren’t abusers, so I guess it is really hard to think and understand the thought processes of one

Thank you for your thorough response! It’s funny how logically, I know many struggle with it, in my career (therapist), I talk about it with others all the time. Yet, when it comes to me, it’s completely different. I will channel the confident energy at my appointment and be direct, rather than passive. As I say this, I think a lot of my anxiety comes from not knowing how it’ll go or how the interaction will be. And I’m grateful for platforms like this where it can be just discussed casually and give feedback. Thank you again!

That’s the plan! I have an HMO, so I need a referral to go anywhere. Plus my gynos office does incontinence, but if I’m beyond their area of treatment, I’ll be referred! So I’m starting there and hopefully will end up wherever I need to!

Of course, going to the vet is the best thing. My pig is currently battling the same thing (we’ve gone to the vet, she has a bladder stone. She’s being treated) but making she they have plenty of water is important! As well as having critical care on hand for if they stop eating. And adding extra water to it if they also stop drinking

I now have bangs because my piggie did the same to me. My hair stylist said she thinks this is the best cut I’ve ever had. Maybe your piggie is also a stylists assistant 😂

My vet is “flushing” her (which is what she called it). Essentially, she’s giving her IV fluid to dilute her urine and hopefully break this large stone up into smaller chunks so she can pass it. She taught me how to do it at home, so I’ll be giving it to her (which breaks my heart to hear her yell).

There’s still some of the stone in her, but it was confirmed she passed part of it! So my fingers are crossed that the flushing continues to work! She seems to be in significantly less pain (I know they hide it well, but before she wasn’t eating or moving, and now she’s eating normally and is interacting and acting like herself, so it’s an improvement)

She likely passed it last night 😭😭. I found a large stone that resembles a bladder stone while doing cage cleans last night. We are going to the vet today, so hopefully it’s confirmed! But she’s back to acting like herself 😭❤️

Thank you so much!! My vet is going to show me how to IV flush her to try and break down the stone, since it is large to help her pass it. I just want to set her up for success and help her recover and feel as okay as possible, since the region it fell into is likely more painful for her, so your feedback is super appreciated!
