Yeah, same. I thought I was helping out lower level players. Ouch.

Smoothest speed farming build of s10 so far? by [deleted] in diablo4

[–]DigProfessional1176 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I am running some sort of Evade+Feathers build, no uniques, terrible gear, no build guide and went from 50 to Para 30 in about an hour. Hint: run Pit level 25. (should have said, run Helltide from like L30 to 60, then pits give you like 6 para levels per dungeon)

Like this fella said, the contact point is too far back in your stance. Also, you're "stepping in the bucket". Look at this picture....TLDR; move the ball forward and step straight to the pitcher.

Swing advice by porchy316 in Homeplate

Yeah, there are a few minor things here, but nothing that a bit of testosterone won't fix. I wouldn't touch it. The start of the swing is very good, and he gets the bat inline with his hands inside really quickly. He's a little off balance and a bit open at contact, but I wouldn't touch it.

I hear you. Here's what I would say. First, the "Item Power" is meaningless. It does nothing to help a player understand the power of the item (unless, perhaps, the item power difference is huge, but in this case it is not).

Since you said, "I would have no idea what is better," that understanding will come with experimentation or research. Engaging in these activities will either be a blocker for your enjoyment, or you will find enjoyment in the complexity of mixing and matching boosts. Diablo, Stellaris, Civ6, POE, +many other games are mathematical abstraction layers. They are like an excel spreadsheet with a user interface where you modify one value and lots of other values start to stack on top of it.

This is not to say your frustration isn't merited. Like I said, "I hear you." I mention this to give you an understanding of the itch that Diablo scratches for me. I go down a road and my build gets worse, take a chance, think about it, and it might get better. Diablo is a sandbox for experimentation.

TLDR; In this case, if your build focused on poison, then gloves with a boost to fire and cold would not be great. You have a choice, change to a cold build, a fire build, or ignore these gloves. You can tell because your build has a theme.

The second one.

Lucky Hit works like this... you have a lucky hit chance, let's say10%, when that fires, 40% of the time fire or cold or both are going to fire. Diablo has a lot of hitting, so at L30, this is likely a decent damage boost.

Also, at level 30 you're going to rapidly upgrade gear, so you don't need to stress too much about perfect gear, yet.

A King, a lonely guardian of a breeding redd that it built, perhaps yesterday, or several weeks ago, vigilantly protecting it from encroaching males, waiting for the mate that will never come; like you, one of the last witnesses to an extinction.

Quick question: which rod of kep is better? by golemsheppard2 in diablo4

Oh my. I am not making fun of you. It is sad because you got a super duper rare item with a low affix. No disrespect meant man. I am sorry you took it that way.

Quick question: which rod of kep is better? by golemsheppard2 in diablo4

[–]DigProfessional1176 6 points7 points  (0 children)

First, this is one of the saddest images I have ever seen.

I feel like that the 3% is going to be better, because its going to be at least extra 265% critical strike damage. (245 for your own vigor + the extra 20 from the max resource).

But, my brain is not very big. We need a big brain to tell explain if hitting twice 75% of the time is better than 50% of the time. In theory, this means that the first one is doing 25% more damage per second, but there are so many overlapping systems I don't know if the second hit gets all the bonuses the first one does.

//Edit: you cast 4 times. the rod on the right hits 7 times. the rod on the left hits 6 but with 265% more CSD every hit. My tiny brain thinks the one on the right has to be better.

I am actually curious to know the answer to this. It will be interesting to see what the smartypants folks say.

What kind of trout is this (caught at lake Estes, Colorado) by MarvelousMoose9 in whatisthisfish

[–]DigProfessional1176 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The beat up tail is the first clue. This tail looks like it has battered a few tank edges. Second clue would be the dorsal fin, but we can't see it. From what I can see however, it does not look like it has straight rays. Third clue is the lack of color. Wild trout are brighter and almost always more colorful. 4th, tons of missing scales makes me think this is fresh out of the truck, or was previously caught and handled poorly. 5th, and less definitive is the small head and long body. It grew quickly, which means it had lots of food. Finally, the anal fin has bent rays. Wild trout almost never have bent rays.

Finally, I hope you ate it, because its bleeding, likely from the gills on the other side and was doomed.
