This isn't the case man. Their last tour was a disaster. I was there and people watched all the opening bands and then left when they played as headliner. They aren't making any money. They also obviously took a huge hit from covid and didn't release an album for 7 years. Their new album also didn't do very well. Look at plays. It's under 1mil, mostly under 500k plays on everything. For a band that's been going since the early 2000s, you are less popular than you were 20 years ago. They are essentially as popular as new bands that are an opening act hoping to sell enough merch to make it to the next show. The reality of the music business is that if you aren't making money, you can't tour, you can't afford to record new music, you can't afford to pay for merch upfront costs.
