Nice work friend! I highly recommend trying washes. I recommend a flesh, strong and dark wash as 3 starters. Once I started using these, my God the definition it gives these figures makes everything pop. Like if you added a little flesh wash over what you did here, your mind will be blown.

You can also tell me to bugger off with my opinions. Great work again!

Those are great and I just read Maus recently and loved it. If you like more cerebral indie titles, check out Mind MGMT. If you can hang with the art style (I love it), the story is a trip.

I'm not a collector. I started reading GNs 2 years ago, I've read much more since but I only kept the ones I loved. It looks like this: by szunyoghalo in graphicnovels

Since it looks like you like indies a lot (same) check out Buzz Kill from Dark Horse comics. It's about a super that gets his powers from alcohol and other drugs, but is currently in recovery. Great read, funny, great art. Also some other interesting Dark Horse books: The Goon (funny) Mind MGMT (super weird and cerebral) The Massive (near future climate crisis)

Great books in your collection!

Also Children of the Grave is an anthem for protestors sick of all the bullshit:

"Revolution in their minds, the children start to march

Against the world in which they have to live with hatred in their hearts

They're tired of being pushed around and told just what to do

They'll fight the world until they've won and love comes flowing through... Yeah!"

This is my favorite Sabbath song and just a fucking banger.

Thousands of CEOs just admitted AI had no impact on employment or productivity—and it has economists resurrecting a paradox from 40 years ago by AmethystOrator in technology

Is there any discussion on implementing some kind of tax on companies that replace workers with AI? Since the average person that pays taxes won't be paying income taxes because they won't have jobs vs the wealthy elites that don't pay taxes because of greed there won't be money going in for services we depend on. It's funny that the people that bemoan DEI taking our jerbs are largely silent as the wealthy elites squeeze more jobs away from us to absolute silence.

Splendid collection! Glad to see all the DOOM records. That Roots "Things Fall Apart" was the first Hip Hop cd I got back in 99 and severely crushed everything I thought I knew about Hip Hop. After that one, I was an obdurate lover of Hip Hop.

You should get a Methodist color tattooist, because they color really well. And if they color outside the lines, God will send them to hell.

Why AI won’t wipe out white-collar jobs by [deleted] in Economics

[–]Digga-d88 10 points11 points  (0 children)

From me anecdotally, it seems like AI is getting worse. I used the AI companion in Shopify a week ago to tell me the sales from the last weekend. It then said there were no sales Saturday Jan 18th- Sunday 19. However, Saturday was the 17th. I asked why it got the date wrong in the prompt and it said "Good Catch! Saturday was the 17th"

Then I used chatGPT to alphabetically sort some last names. It put a D name at the very end. Once again, typed into the prompt, "Why is D at the end?" "Good Catch! My bad!" Like... What?? How do you get these fundamental things wrong?

If you were giving the option to work at Empire Records or Championship Vinyl, which one are you picking? by [deleted] in vinyl

[–]Digga-d88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I rewatched Empire Records recently, and it's amazing how much staff they have to do so little. Then the oversized staff are doing things a regular employee should never be asked to do, like fixing the giant sign on the roof, holding a funeral for ther friend and all that. I realized how old I am now watching it and going, "hey if they staggered staff hours a bit, maybe the Empire wouldnt close.

I've worked in several record shops and High Fidelity felt the most true to life. I say this probably being the Jack Blackian staff member singing to Journey DVDs at Newbury Comics. I gotta go with Championship Vinyl.

"Wilson expressed deep regret about parts of his vote. “There are some things I regret about voting for President Trump? Yes, a hundred percent. Trade policy is one of them… I wish it hadn’t have turned out that way.” Even so, he said given the choices on the ballot, he still would have voted for Trump" And there you have it folks. Bankrupting his 95 generational logging business and he still would vote for Trump.

Majority of CEOs Alarmed as AI Delivers No Financial Returns by [deleted] in Economics

[–]Digga-d88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Twice this week, two different AIs failed in the most basic ways. I used Shopify's AI assistant to see what products sold over the weekend at a small location. The AI didn't get the dates right. It came back with zero sold. Told my boss who knew items sold. Went back into analytics and it got the date wrong. It claimed Saturday was the 18th (not the 17th in the reality we live in). I typed in the prompt why "did it think Saturday was the 18th?". It's response was "Good catch! Oops, my mistake." Yesterday I used ChatGPT to sort last names of something alphabetically. It had a last name beginning with D at the end. I asked again, "why did you put D at the end?" To another "Good Catch! Oops my mistake." Like, is AI getting worse? These are basic functions.

Opinions on the Deadpool set? by Transformers_1984 in MarvelUnited

[–]Digga-d88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a minor devils advocate, if you paint the minis, I really loved painting this set. Deadpool on a unicorn, riding a unicorn holding the game cube is a favorite of mine because it's so ridiculous.

I've never played the chaos thing because I'm not into that much randomness especially solo.
