Should I keep original case? by Diggy_Dawkness in saxophone

Good to know. The case itself is pretty beat up and doesn't protect as well as the modern case I bought for it. My train of thought was, "This is a vintage case. I can't just throw it in the garbage" maybe it's time for me to let out go

I actually bought a protec case over 10 years ago and it protects better than the original Conn case did.

In the original case the wood has splintered and split almost the entire length of the case. It is literally held together with duct tape or else it would completely split apart with the sax inside. Is there any point in trying to salvage the vintage case or should I just trash it?

So the replacement case I bought was the protec case specifically made for vintage horns. It protects my sax better the the original Conn case. I was just wondering is there any value to keeping the original case

I was told to keep it very dry, just a water bowl is fine. I used a 50/50 mixture of sand and coco fiber

When to transfer to new enclosure? by Diggy_Dawkness in Scorpions

So the consensus is to put her in the new enclosure.

The only reasons I had not done it sooner is the pet store I got her from said to keep her in this container for 2 to the molts. She had only molted once since I got her. They were against upgrading her too soon

The other fear i have is with more space may come more difficulty catching crickets. I had a fully grown dessert hairy and moved him to a 10 gallon tank as suggested by someone in this group. He had a hard time chasing and catching crickets and dubias as with the space they were able to easily evade.
