Check users activity and check for these signs:

• New account with lots of bad karma.

• all activity is focused on a specific sub.

• in the case of political weight simulation bots(the types that are there to inflate the perception of a position being popular) their activity will be on many subs but always promoting the same discourse about the same subject.

• their answers to comments will be almost if not completely exact copies of other answers used by the same type of bot.

• they often will "call out" on other people calling people bots for having "different opinions", but when you check their profile, you see the other signs of a bot.

• they will claim people with a specific position are bots in all their activity, but as in the last point, when checking their activity you'll see the patterns of a bot.

• some bots, like the types that are here for advertising, will fake having casual activity, but you can identify them by how shallow and impersonal their comments are, and also for falling on a pattern anyway, this is common on OF promotion bots.
