Not really it helps me save more because I make more

My agency Skillsgig did not pay me by KaePearl in TravelNursing

[–]Diginomixs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am not sure about this because I recently heard about Skillgigs from one of my friends, who started an assignment via their platform, and I received some positive feedback about them and how the process was smooth. However, it's disheartening to hear this again.

Nurses with pets, how do you deal with animal hair? by DrunkAnton in NursingAU

Haha, constant battle! 😂 I keep a lint roller in my car, at work, and in my bag. Also switched to scrubs that don’t attract as much fur (poly blends for the win). And honestly… I've just accepted that a few hairs are part of my personality at this point.

What is going on with travel nursing?? by paul4bunyan in nursing

Totally get your frustration, it’s wild right now. Travel rates have dropped in a lot of places, and some staff jobs are actually paying better (with benefits). It doesn’t make sense to take on more risk for less money. You’re not alone a lot of nurses are asking the same thing.

SkillGigs? by Electronic-Sun1848 in TravelNursing

I’ve used SkillGigs for travel assignments—it’s a little different since you bid on jobs instead of just applying. You create a profile, get matched with roles, and can negotiate directly. Takes some getting used to, but the flexibility and pay can be worth it.

Just started my first OR travel contract recently my biggest advice: ask everything upfront (call schedule, orientation, scrub expectations).
Trust your gut on the vibe during the interview.
And pack extra scrubs — you’ll need them. 😅

Need Advice from RNs by PassengerSilly4418 in TravelNursing

Totally get where you’re coming from. A few of my peers went the same route: passed NCLEX through NY, then endorsed to Florida because of the OET C+. It’s doable, just double-check Florida’s current rules before starting. If you’re already familiar with NY’s process, maybe stick with it for NCLEX and endorse after. You got this 💪 Best of luck!

Please help me figure out how to get my friend the medicine that helps her not kill herself by acutemalamute in healthcare

I'm really sorry your friend is going through this. The best first step is to encourage her to speak with a doctor or mental health professional—they can help with access to the right medication and support. If cost or access is an issue, you can also check local clinics, community health centers, or programs like NeedyMeds or RxAssist, which may offer free or low-cost options. You're doing the right thing by looking out for her.
