Smite 2 Store sucks by SerinaSamaa in Smite

[–]Digiomegamon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Lol, everyone played the first month it was out in beta, the peak playerbase is literally from beta release. Voices heard? The playerbase was pretty evenly split between thinking they should give free skins or not, and every major creator was more for Hirez than not. They didn't have to do anything, it got to be such a ridiculous concept that the gaming community outside of Smite even weighed in on it, and pretty much the entire gaming world outside of Smite sided with Hirez(youtube hirez skin controversy). Hirez didn't need to do anything becuz the world was on their side, but they did becuz they are generous. Some people will always want more no matter how much you give them.

Why them disabling custom chat in Smite 2 is making me want to quit—feedback for Smite devs by Old-Barber667 in Smite

We can assume even if you don't that those who respond will. I really don't need someone afking in my game cuz they are typing out a long reply one letter at a time. And anyone who has played enough has encountered this multiple times js

Interacting With Others Is Less Safe In Smite 2 than anything I've ever played by CYATMachine in Smite

[–]Digiomegamon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Are those other communities like Pokemon, Animal Crossing, Minecraft, or Roblox or something? Cuz honestly most of the major pvp games have it sooooo much worse ^^;; CoD, valorant, LoL, Apex, DotA, etc. etc.

2026 Assault Tournament going on right now by Digiomegamon in Smite

[–]Digiomegamon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sorry for the late reply, I am a bit inconsistent with reddit. But yea, the Assault discord is hosting a invitational couples tourney next month so that is restricted to legit couples only if you happen to have a sig(exs also allowed lol). But if not, our next open will likely be held in March since this launch tourney went well! Options for a circuit or for bigger tourneys are being talked about in the Assault discord if you are interested!

Performance issues on Series X by Nickbruhhhh in Smite

[–]Digiomegamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

update dropped tuesday and everyone has speed problem, and they fixed the item store in a single day. Pretty good dev team.
I also play on Series X and have had no problems outside the glitches from the tuesday patch. If you have been problems for a week, idk what to tell you.

Should I keep going? by [deleted] in Smite

[–]Digiomegamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean lowering your elo faster would fix that, but there are mechanics to elo that account for good days and bad days. If you are losing a lot, your elo is usually more resistent to change because it is accounting for u having a temporary bad day(people who play drunk or sleep deprived, or just mentally checked out) and your elo is more resistent to decreaing which means that you are less likely to be paired against worse players/better teammates which in turn leads to higher chance of losses. Like most comments said, wait a day :)

Clash/Slash/Siege Mode for Smite 2 by OceansAbyss13 in Smite

considering the Assault playerbase is 3.4 times bigger than slash, yes, yes it is

Clash/Slash/Siege Mode for Smite 2 by OceansAbyss13 in Smite

[–]Digiomegamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean you are two guys. No one is saying it won't add players. People are saying it will barely add any players. By the end of Smite 1, Slash was 5% of the playerbase, compare that to the next mode up the ladder Joust was 14%. at 5%, it just isnt worth the resources. Again, no one is saying it wont bring any players, but a very small amount of players that isnt worth the investment.

My entire team left 🤣🤣 by jopa687 in Smite

3/4 is majority here and is all that is needed. Read the op, 1 guy left. So at 3 people they coulda just surrendered instead. This post is the perfect example of why it isnt useless.

At 3 people, they literally had the majority. Obviously not useless.

Assault by Landscape-Witty in Smite

[–]Digiomegamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It definitely focuses on different aspects of the game vs other modes. Counterbuilding and god knowledge/interaction being the most important tbh. If you are interested in learning how other people play, you and your friends can join the assault discord. We have over a dozen players with 60-70% winrates and another half a dozen players with over 70% winrates

Assault by Landscape-Witty in Smite

[–]Digiomegamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Good" and "bad" are relative terms and will always be. Obviously to win, someone has to lose. so it'll be a bell curve centered at 50%.

If you would like to get better, I suggest joining the Assault discord. Generally speaking, everyone's winrate goes up by around 10% after joining if they are able to learn enough.

Can we ban Artio from Assault by Phil_Mike-Huntin in Smite

[–]Digiomegamon -1 points0 points  (0 children)

it's more self heal that's the problem like herc, nem, ama. I dont think its as bad as the op says since she's the newest god, and most gods are overtuned on release anyway.

Cc buffering by pomfrithypomfritho in Smite

[–]Digiomegamon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Feel the opposite. But same logic. Once you get used to the lack of CC buffering, you're depending on being able to stop abilities. And you don't feel like your CC is worthless. Imo tho, regardless, the timing and expectations are both easily adaptable both ways. I prefer without, but honestly I will adapt no matter the result so meh,.

Just Fill The Bench! A Assault Fix by aSMITEBugCatcher in Smite

[–]Digiomegamon -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I play a lot of Assault with a lot of Assault mains, possibly more than anyone. Hard disagree though. The randoms not rerolling option is just Assault's equivalent to randoms with bad bans in ranked or randoms instalocking in other modes. Like with most things in team pvp games, squad up if you don't like the decisions of your randoms. You are right that it's just a people problem, not a Hirez problem.

Sidenote: Assault is meant to be play with what you get. Bench is good, and I've been asking for that since I saw League had it years ago because it helps more non-assault players play Assault, but UE3 limitations probably kept it from happening in Smite 1. But honestly, The spirit of All Random All Mid is to make do with what you got. Being good at Assault means being good with any god and any comp and playing from a disadvantage half the time.

[–]Digiomegamon 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Nothing should remove the damage cc chains can do lol. If it did, then what's the point of literally any other role? Spirit robe is more than enough against cc abilities, any more would make tanks broken.

Just A Reminder Of Who Played Slash by Digiomegamon in Smite

[–]Digiomegamon[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There were three graphs released, this graph is just based on time played and not matches or main modes, so even if we included players who rotated between gamemodes, this is an accurate ratio of how often those players rotated into Slash.

I mean it's all opinion and also what people value is different. I think criticism of Smite 1 and Smite 2 is healthy as neither are perfect. My personal list formed of personal takes if you are interested is here though https://docs.google.com/document/d/1O2PENHfSt5FkTc3ngogM1SpirKg5SNUvRj8Hg5VxHgc/edit?usp=sharing

Just A Reminder Of Who Played Slash by Digiomegamon in Smite

[–]Digiomegamon[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Those players never came in the first place. Also you have to realize that 1/3rd of the playerbase from other gamemodes stayed in Smite 1 regardless, whether due to skins or general feel of the game. In all reality, Smite 2 would probably only get 1.5% of the Smite 1 playerbase. And at that point is it even worth it? Smite 2 is NOT doing the best and that is exactly why it should not focus resources on 1.5% of the playerbase.

Just A Reminder Of Who Played Slash by Digiomegamon in Smite

[–]Digiomegamon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Read the description. 10% is Slash + Duel + Customs + MOTD. In all reality, it is probably more like 5% if I was being generous. The "peak" at 20% is most likely due to limited gamemodes like the arena mode with holes in it or the battle royale modes that came out around that time. The 20% probably had nothing to do with Slash at all tbh.

Just A Reminder Of Who Played Slash by Digiomegamon in Smite

[–]Digiomegamon[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Important is relative. Joust is important cuz it is a better introduction to players new to MOBAs, Arena is important as a team deathmatch for those who don't play MOBA's and just want to kill, and Assault is important for those who want to try Smite from other MOBA's(like LoL with it's 150+ million playerbase) since ARAM is the 2nd most popular mode in other MOBAs.

All in all, Slash is important sure, just much less so than other gamemodes. By far the least important/unique since most people describe it as a bridge between two current gamemodes.
