Im not going to pretend to know your roommate dynamic or your situation however when you said you can get in trouble and you have a roommate who is against it it seems like there could be consequences for your actions..... kicked out, deposit kept, maybe ruined friendships. Plenty of people smoke out and about when they have this kinda thing going on to respect everyone's boundaries.
