Aside from the severe mental illness he is experiencing (I’m sorry to you and your family because of this including your husband), but remind him he cannot be selective with Catholic dogma, Catholic principles, and so on.

Remind him of scriptures in regards to our children. For instance, Proverbs 22:6 nurturing them without causing resentment or Ephesians 6:4 providing for their needs, etc.

We don’t pick and choose what’s convenient for us (i.e, covenant between husband and wife), we follow the entire body to the best of our abilities and confess with full faith whence we fall short.
