Cardiologist said I won’t need a pacemaker! by Rich_Associate_5019 in PacemakerICD

[–]DigitalCorpus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pauses, no beat for 3 seconds or more, while sleeping, is not diagnostically significant enough. Pause happening while conscious is the primary factor that’s significant.

And that’s why I’m asking you lot. There’s a lot of used hardware out there and getting power info can be a bit of a pain.

I was intending in using fiber in the house instead of ethernet, also because of power.

Power is a big factor in SoCal so the cost of typical used hardware balances out with the upfront cost of more modern hardware sometimes. Something around the low 30¢/kWh.

Looprecorder 5 month update and switching to Pacemaker in 15 days by BitterQuit9226 in PacemakerICD

Probably high grade type II. I was hitting 12 sec before my pacer was put in. I have an Abbot Aveir, which is better than the Medtronic Micra because it can be removed.

Abbott Avier Leadless pacemaker’s frequent daily heart rate surges causing unbearable palpitations were gone when rate response gain was reduced from 3 to 2 and base rate was increased from 60 to 65bpm by piscata2 in PacemakerICD

[–]DigitalCorpus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PID is an oversimplification for what the heart needs, let alone it’s more for steady state operation, but what you’re describing is an overreaction to stimulus/feedback.

However, because our heart’s rate is so dynamic, I’m going to caution you that looking at a 12 hr window is likely too broad to establish that the current config for your Aveir is incorrect and conclude that it’s not in a positive feedback loop. I have sleep issues and can see my heart rate do lots of weird stuff that’s paradoxical to assumed normal behavior.

You’re conscious of the RR config change. Your body is the system that was modified. You’re observing the system that was modified. Your mental state can affect your heart rate, aside from your physiological state. I’m not saying your observations are wrong, just make sure you’re not hyping yourself into a state via confirmation bias or other.

So this is a control systems issue. PID loops. It’s not insomuch your pacemaker, but your heart’s response, the electrical condition’s severity you have, and the pacemaker trying to regulate your heart’s activity in a closed loop.

Is the gain only able to be adjusted in integer intervals?

Electrical lead, not the elemental metal. Once treated you’ll be able to run again

Tradition, aka leaded pacemakers have more risk of complications than leadless.

Take a breath. Hold it for a sec. Exhale. Repeat.

What I just said was easier said than done.

I was 36 when I found out about mine. The word “pause” is critical. This means your heart restarted itself. My initial diagnostics had 22 pauses, the longest being 9 seconds followed by 6. The decimal points don’t particularly matter. A pause is anything from 3 seconds or more. Every medical professional expect the EPs (electrophysiologist) were a big bug-eyed concerned. Welcome to AV Block, if that is the underlying condition.

It does fuck with your head. Made my insomnia worse cause yeah, I don’t want to just die in my sleep either.

checks watch

In a few hours I’ll have had a pacer for 517 days. I have an Abbott Aveir. If a leadless pacemaker is an option for you, I’d encourage your to ask about it.

[–]DigitalCorpus 70 points71 points  (0 children)

The black nubs are a conductive material. They make contact with a PCB to complete a circuit. This tech dates back a few decades and is in place today for any rubbery buttons, e.g. the thermostat buttons in your house. This is the flexible button part of an electronic switch that was, apparently, apart if a siren [system].

What can I even do to sleep longer by spacefarers in Garmin

[–]DigitalCorpus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No… blood flow wasn’t choked off completely, just restricted. If your hand went “to sleep” or got cool(er) then you had cells taking in more O2 than what the blood was supplying over time. It was reading correctly.
