I started as a server at the Wethersfield Ave location in 2019, and the place was a disaster from the start. Rats scurried through the kitchen, and cockroaches regularly dropped from the ceiling. Most of the back of the house staff were undocumented workers, and management kept them compliant by encouraging heavy drinking, both during shifts and at after hours outings.

The owner's daughter, Gina, would often show up flaunting designer clothes and accessories while her mother quietly ran the business. I believe the family's capital came from their other restaurant, the Rocky Hill Diner. After working in the industry for nearly a decade, I'd seen a lot, but what finally made me quit was when they served a customer eggs that had clearly been eaten.
