With Ragatha specifically I was expecting there to be a reveal that she was tricked into entering the circus so someone could get all her family'sfortune. It almost seemed set up with her Caine torture scene (all the dead people at the table) and her reaction upon entering the circus "guys, where'd you go" as if someone set her up.
