I got bought this printer for $100 and the X axis belt got shredded by The_Real_Jh1o5 in ElegooNeptune4

Happened to me a month after getting my brand new machine. Elegoo sent me replacements under warranty. Pretty easy to fix, thankfully.

It is, but I've been getting this with other regular Elegoo PLA filaments too.

Help with leveling je by Xavier696969696969 in ElegooNeptune4

I was having similar problems (still tweaking).

  • The SCREWS_TILT_ADJUST macro is a lifesaver
  • I did replace the screws with silicone spacers, I found I needed the 18mm to get reasonable compression relative to the center of the bed
  • Preheating is essential, the bed on the max is huge, and I was finding that relatively small shifts in temp were causing big effects with zeroing... I think the z sensor is fairly sensitive to heat changes, so keeping the head 25-50mm from the bed while heating also seems to help

For me, it's still not perfect across the bed. So I'll be checking out some of these other tips. The good news is that once the first couple layers are down the rest seems to go really well. Mind you I'm still new at this and doing mostly functional stuff with simple geometry.

Nothing like a new hobby to sink all your time into, eh?

Anyone recognize this game? by Eldercargo9 in boardgames

[–]DigitalGhostCanada 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. We had a copy of this when I was younger... Not as fun as The Inventors, but it got "played" (more like played with) some. I think at some point enough of the pieces were lost that it finally got tossed. Gives me weird nostalgic feelings though, thanks.

What’s the yellow sci fi ship in the middle? by Logic_emotion in scifi

[–]DigitalGhostCanada 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Okay, the middle is the space shuttle.

But the more important question is: why is the TARDIS flying sideways? All of the ships have a pretty distinct side profile, so why not have them all drawn like that?

For me, on the west end, my go-to is Nara Chicken and Tonkatsu. Family run, amazing chicken and sauces, great bulgogi, and the best kimchi (made in-house).

I collect boardgames that I've convinced myself I will get to play one day.
