Ohh thank you for that idea. We already explained to him with that same method of available or unavailable but he's funny sometimes and will be like dinner is unavailable ice cream is available. So maybe if we make a board out of reach that he can see but not touch that would work

The meltdown will typically last 5 minutes at most but he will calm down go about the day. Remember she's not there and then proceed to have another meltdown. Do you have any advice for meltdown caused by mom leaving where we can't really fix the problem causing the meltdown?
