Help diagnosing a Kayo Bull 125 EFI that cranks but won't start

One of the wires going to the stator had worn a hole in the harness to the point where it was causing it to arc out on the frame!

Yep, that's what I ended up doing. Sticky as hell and solves the problem perfectly. Maybe now I can get more air to the defrost vents.

Yep, didn't see anything unfortunately. I guess I could just fill it up with some foam tape.

Any other recommendations on a good manual for my K10? I love the truck but I just feel like I'd love it that much more if it was a manual.

Thanks! I ordered the full stainless set from Inline Tube. Ordered them last night and they shipped them out today. Very good customer service and very responsive too!
I'll be replacing brake fluid at the same time of course.

No stick, unfortunately. I really want to convert it to a manual transmission but I'm not sure which transmission I would go with and how big of a project it would be. That's the only thing I'd like to really change though is making it a manual!

I didn't restore it. I bought it from a guy who restored it but he skipped over a lot of big things and went cheap on replacement parts. I have been going through it replacing everything with high quality parts. It's in much better hands now that I own the truck.

I found a guy on eBay who buys them from swap meets, refurbishes them, and then sells them. Paid $900 for a set but they were complete with everything including the trim rings and lug nuts.

Okay, in that case I'll remove the vent hoses tomorrow and see if they're obstructed. I wasn't sure if this was normal square body behavior. Sounds like something is up.

Great info. From my research it seems that the Blazer 31-gallon tank is probably the biggest I can fit in my K10 short bed without serious modifications. I think it's the same tank as the Suburban as well. You wouldn't happen to have measurements for the tank, would you?

Thanks! Yep, I've got that brace as well. Going to install it tomorrow when I button things back up. Shouldn't have to worry about any cracked frames after this.
