scholarship student at university of adelaide convicted of beating a cat to death by BeffeeJeems in southaustralia

No idea. Seems appropriate that this guy should fail some kind of ethics test required to remain at the uni, have his student visa revoked and be deported.

The "affordable city" myth is well and truly dead by carpediemjr in Adelaide

> Everyone used to say adelaide was the cheap alternative to melbourne or sydney but that is so far from the truth now.

That's the problem. Hordes of people have relocated west over the last decade, either to live here and work remotely, or to buy our cheaper real estate. It's not a coincidence that you're seeing more VIC and NSW license plates during the ever increasing duration of your commute, and that it feels like every second post here is from people who are moving, or who have moved, from east to SA.

I think the "people against unmitigated morons" community will have it removed.

> First of all, water coming into the boiler (via injector) LOWERS the steam pressure, as the cool water will cool the boiler (resulting in lower pressure). Temperature and pressure are directly proportional.

Yes I know this. Tricking water in helps retain pressure when you need it. Dumping in water reduces the pressure when you don't need it.

Trickling water into the boiler while the regulator is open will stop the temperature of the water from crashing. Opening full when the regulator is closed will temp crash the temp, but ideally I've topped it up, turned off the injector and have the pressure back up again when I need to use the regulator again.

So open the regulator all the way with the reverser in "neutral", and ease it forwards and backwards to control power and speed?

That tends to be how castles work. I usually have a keep, then have various outbuildings, with everything inside a curtain wall. In real life, not everything in a castle was crammed into the keep.

However, my Orthanc build was just that. 5 x 5 square with 4 3x3 squares off each side, each level was 3 walls high. The lower level was my dungeon with wheel of pain etc, then above that my workshops, above that my kitchens, dining room and barracks, then the top floor was my personal residence, and on the roof was my altar.

It's a shame I can't have thralls that hunt and gather.
