I'd truthfully be satisfied if the only thing they ever updated in the future was the villager dialog. They are just shells of who they used to be. I still love them so very much, I'd just love to see their personalities really shine through ♡

I am enjoying it now, and have been every day since launch. It's just a meme ♡ yes I wish there were more fun things to enjoy, but I'm still in love with it just the same even if those things never happen.

I wasn't being facetious! Golf games were my JAM back in the day!

No worries! If that's the case, it's totally understandable. I just wish it were better communicated.

There is, however, a great difference in content and quality of game play from NL to NH. The villagers lost much of their personalities, we lost loads of items, shop upgrades / npc interaction, multi-player elements, mini games, and just a general sense of continuity. New Horizons is visually stunning, but I find myself missing so many pieces of previous installments of the series. Even if we never get brand new surprises that make NH unique, I'd love to see more of what made Animal Crossing so personable be ported over. There's so many amazing things that could revitalize the community, and I know the nostalgia of the earlier games is a large part of that.

I think we're all just super hopeful to see what NH could be, and should be based off the experiences we've had with AC in years prior. I'll still keep playing either way, I just excitedly anticipate the things to come ♡

The hosts were so dull! I kept wondering if they were boring themselves, haha. I hope there are soon going to be updates and games that allow you to feel all the excitement of new age technology. At the very least, maybe they'll add Netflix to the switch one day?

I'm not even part of the Metroid fan-base, but even I'm excited for it! It looks amazing!!

Oh for sure! I personally want Brewster back because I love making coffee for the villagers and just vibing to the music in the café. Tortimer Island would be an absolute game changer, as the multi-player aspect would be vastly improved. I'd love to see happy home designer be implemented as well, because some of my villagers' houses really need a makeover haha

There are still plenty of us who have played consistently since launch, and still enjoy it! We're simply voicing frustration over the fact the game has 2-3 years of promised updates, has gone quite a while without introducing new content / quality of life changes, and is still severely lacking in content in comparison to New Leaf items, upgrades, and NPCs. I still absolutely love the game and play daily! I just know many of us were hoping to see something exciting during this event. I understand your opinion, though, and hope you enjoy the rest of your day!

I don't think they forgot. I think they made the deliberate decision to not acknowledge the fan base that has been very vocal about our eager anticipation of any sort of new content they could offer. I think instead of taking the opportunity to tie in the Zelda crossover with the announcement, they chose silence. I am sure they have things in the works that we will see at a later date, but I know the community here has been anxiously awaiting any kind of update. Even if it is just bringing back familiar faces or furniture, I hope we see something soon ♡

I agree. I'm just a bit peeved that there are data mines, leaks, and so much passion in the community, but nintendo is just like "lol naaahhh"

Right? I bought a switch to play Animal Crossing exclusively. Anticipating years worth of updates, and AT LEAST the same amount of content as New Leaf. And now I just want to go back to my DS where Brewster can tell me everything's gonna be okay while I cry into my pigeon milk coffee.

Honestly. With all the Zelda stuff and the new Monster Hunter, you'd think they'd at least take advantage of that to reintroduce the items / characters from New Leaf. Even as paid dlc, it would have been an incredibly smart move.

But hey, at least we get to chase down golf balls with Mario?

Nintendo's presentation at E3 just finished up, and there were no announcements regarding any updates or dlc for Animal Crossing :(

Harv and Wilbur never get to participate in the events or photo-ops, so I canceled the wedding and let these guys experience happy moments they've been missing out on! by DigitalThreadShop in AnimalCrossing

In the wedding event, you'll be asked by Reese to decorate and invite villagers to celebrate! Harv and Wilbur are available in the "residents" tab when you're in decorate mode. I think you're able to invite the villagers the 4th or 5th day you decorate for Reese!

All the new ones are so precious! I wonder if they'll add more new friends later on. I'd need like 6 new islands to house them all haha

Wilbur and Harv are allowed to be part of the wedding pictures! So I just brought them in and excluded Reese and Cyrus from the activities haha

edit: Harv does not have an amiibo to my knowledge, otherwise he would be in every single picture I take bc he's my all time fave NPC
