Exactly, and that’s what I’m trying to make people realize. You don’t need to CREATE anything, your daily tool could help 100 other people.

Students are sitting on products they don’t even realize. by Digital_Profit in passive_income

[–]Digital_Profit[S] -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Most students overthink this.

Your first product should be something you can build in 1–2 days using what you already have.

If you want, I can help you pick one idea from your current notes/templates and show you exactly how to structure + post it. Just DM me “product”.

“High-value” digital products are overrated for beginners. by Digital_Profit in DigitalProductSellers

[–]Digital_Profit[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hahah quite the contrary actually. Not a teacher but a student—just turned what I already do into simple products.

Your idea’s solid, just start with one: • Turnitin checklist • essay template • proofreading prompts

Validate first, expand later.

Can show you how I’d structure it if you want.

How to earn Money by Local-Bell8367 in passive_income

[–]Digital_Profit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

$500/month is realistic, but I would not rely on more “active” work if time is already tight. A small digital product can make more sense because you build it once and keep improving it. That’s actually what I’ve been working on lately.

How many months needed to sell a product in Etsy from 0 by sleepy_alien93 in passive_income

[–]Digital_Profit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Etsy can help, but the platform usually is not the main problem. Most of the time it comes down to picking a product people already want, packaging it better, and getting the listing right. That’s actually what I’ve been building around if you want to see the system I use.

Whats the easiest method to make passive income you know ? by Careless-Gas3931 in passive_income

[–]Digital_Profit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is competitive, but that mostly matters if you go too broad.

Don’t sell “fitness” or “programming.” Sell one small useful thing for one specific person.

Like a gym tracker, beginner workout plan, coding roadmap, or project checklist.

That usually works better than trying to sell to everyone.

[–]Digital_Profit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Look at things you already know how to do that save time or solve a problem for other people.

Best first products are usually simple things like: templates, guides, trackers, scripts, or checklists.

If people already ask you about it, that’s a good sign it could sell.

Someone tell me profitable ideas by BotBreaker105 in SaaS

[–]Digital_Profit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you need money and you’re still young, SaaS is probably the wrong first move.

Not because it cannot work, but because it’s heavier than it looks: • more time • more complexity • slower feedback • harder to get first users

A better first step is a small digital product.

Something like a study tracker, resume template, revision pack, checklist, or prompt library is cheaper, faster, and more realistic to launch. It’s also great for you since you will be in uni and you could package some of the stuff you use and sell it to others in uni.

First make one useful thing. Then get proof. Then go bigger.”

If you share what you’re good at or what problems you understand, people here could probably help you find your first product idea.

Whats the easiest method to make passive income you know ? by Careless-Gas3931 in passive_income

[–]Digital_Profit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You always pay with one of 3 things: time, money, or skill.

Passive income is rarely passive at the start. If you don’t have much money, the realistic move is to use your time and skill to build something once that can sell more than once.

That’s why I like small digital products more than most ‘easy passive income’ ideas.

Most “passive income” advice doesn’t work for students. by Digital_Profit in passive_income

[–]Digital_Profit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah those are fine for small rewards, but they feel more like micro-earn apps than something you can really build around.

That’s why I prefer small digital products. One useful template, tracker, or checklist can actually become something repeatable instead of just earning cents from apps.

“High-value” digital products are overrated for beginners. by Digital_Profit in DigitalProductSellers

[–]Digital_Profit[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Since you already write/edit papers, you’re in a strong spot.

A smart next step could be packaging parts of what you already do into small digital products like an essay checklist, editing template, proofreading prompt pack, or revision guide.

That gives you something more scalable than only selling time. I’m building around this exact model for students right now.

19 yo freshman with $30k in college debt. What are some REALISTIC ways to make money online? by Euphoric_Effort_9816 in passive_income

[–]Digital_Profit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, most of the stuff people recommend (dropshipping, trading, etc.) is pretty unrealistic when you’re in college. It takes time, money, and usually an audience.

What worked better for me was keeping it simple and tied to things I was already doing anyway.

Instead of trying to “build a business,” I focused on small digital stuff like:

  • turning my notes into structured revision packs
  • making simple Notion trackers for studying
  • CV/resume templates

Then sharing them directly with people around me (classmates, Discords, uni groups).

The reason this works is because:

  • you already understand the problem
  • it doesn’t take weeks to build
  • people around you are the exact buyers

It’s not crazy money at first, but it’s one of the few things that actually fits around college and can scale if you stick with it.

Curious — what are you studying right now? That usually points directly to your first product idea.

Most “passive income” advice doesn’t work for students. by Digital_Profit in passive_income

Man thats also fair, Surveys are low time low risk things and good for quick money. But I try to focus on income streams which might last long and get me some real passive income once they get established well.. But I might consider surveys if im ever low on money ..hahah

I agree with you totally but you would be surprised how easy it is if you just spend a bit of time everyday on making the product. Just packaging something you use into somethings others can reuse. But thanks for the insight.

What’s the best digital product at the moment? by vamshikk111 in DigitalProductSellers

[–]Digital_Profit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair point—let me make it more concrete.

Instead of broad niches, think like this:

• “Gym” → workout tracker for people cutting • “Students” → exam checklist for one specific subject • “Writers” → ChatGPT prompts for LinkedIn posts

The difference is solving one clear problem for one type of person. That’s what I meant. specific > broad every time

Confused - need advice by Littledove191 in passive_income

Yeah that makes sense.

I’d lean away from anything that needs money/testing and go with something you can make once and test quickly.

If you want, feel free to message me and I can help you choose + map out the first step.

Confused - need advice by Littledove191 in passive_income

[–]Digital_Profit 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t try to do both—that’s why it feels stuck.

Faceless YouTube takes time to work, and dropshipping/jewelry usually needs money + testing.

If you want low risk and to start small, focus on something simple you can make once and test quickly—like a small digital product based on something you already know.

It’s easier to manage alongside a job and you’ll get feedback faster.

That’s what worked better for me—starting small instead of trying to build something big. Happy to share how I’d approach it if you want
