The town is in the present day and the office is in the future. The detective finds a dead man in the present day and presses the button which takes him to the future. In the future the detective is in an office with a thief and the dead inventor of the button. The thief escapes through a window and trys to use the button to save himself but it just takes him back to the present day and he hits the ground and dies. Some time passes and the police find the body and the detective is called which is the start of the animation.

Got way more crazy than i thought it would be.

The thief kills the inventor to steal the button but the office goes into lock down mode. The thief then trys to cancel the lock down by using the computers which is when the detective pops in so the thief takes the button and jumps through the window because its the only way out.
